So what happens when a troll eats a goblin with a running chainsaw?

He eats everything but the hand that was holding the chainsaw.

I'd rule that the Chaos Cup handicap is applied after the normal handicaps.

Definitely without question ... European.

The rulebook can't possibly handle all the interactions. The odds of this mattering in a tourney do not outweigh the need to keep the rulebook as clutter-free as possible, IMO.

No one expects the rules to perfect - but isn't the point of the Living Rulebook that when gaps are spotted that they can be answered in the new version?

What about all the BBRC "Clarifications" is this just going to grow and grow? Or are they going to get incorporated into the rules? So you can use this official list to say what you like without cluttering the main body of the rules.

IMO The clarifications ought to be included in the rule book as an appendix. The appendices for WFB 6.0 were a good mechanism for dealing with more obscure areas of the rules - without significantly impacting the main body of the rules.

I agree that gaps should be closed. The issue here is the threshhold gap size, however. "HMP and Blizzard" doesn't cut it for me, really. I think Skummy's tongue-in-cheek questions illustrate these sort of "nitpicky" examples. I don't mean to dismiss legitimate questions with the word "nitpicky," but again this comes back to setting a proper threshhold.

I like the appendix suggestion, and I'll discuss it with the RC later this year. That would be a good place for some of these issues.
