Any help is great, but the system I created, your 1st 3 games will be predetermined by divisional play, & your last 3 games are either vs the same tier as You (bottom players) or in the championship round (top 8 teams) your matches 4-5-6 are elimination brackets, so only thing i need calculations for is tie breakers for after round 3 for tied games to determine divisional placing.

Two questions concerning the rule set:

1) Are we modifying team value after gaining skills a/o stat increases? Are we then calculating inducement amounts before every match?

2) Is it possible to lose a Warpstone Token after receiving it? Or do you have the token and can it be used once for each match after receiving it?

Thanks!

Your TV stays same all tourney no matter what upgrades you get. & the warpstone token is yours to keep. You can use it all tourney once per game. & its yours to keep after the tourney to use as a RR, or turn marker or whatever.

Thanks, Rod, for putting on the tourney. Even though I finished last, I had a great time, even with the militaristic stylings of the KOA. All of my games were fun and thanks to my opponents for helping make my decision easy for my World Cup team selection... NOT CHAOS DWARFS!!!

I was also happy to hear that my team earned a 2nd place nod for best team. There is something mystical about the giant hats, I do admit.

Also, a special thanks to all of my cabin mates for pitching in to make staying at the KOA bearable, and for putting up with my bad habits!

Looking forward to improving upon my results next year. Nowhere to go but up! Hope to see a bunch of you again at the Death Bowl.

Thanks for the great tournament, Rod, Joe, and Greg. I will do my best to get the videos uploaded to YouTube this week.

Rod: sent you a PM, as well. Need your advice on scoring for my tournament.

Thanks all for a great week-end, which allowed me to evacuate a lot of pressure. Sorry for the french ranting, but at least you might have enriched your french vocabulary Very Happy.

Ok, a little feedback.

As far as i know people liked the format (overall, we didnt had to wait that long for the over times). Still, it might be good to have timers for the tables that are going into overtime.

Personally, I liked the magic item, and the fact that you could transfer them from a player to another.

For the skills, I think you should offer an alternative: the possibility, once, that two randomly selected players (D16 roll) are traded against one designated player. The skill roll remains random. Like this, you ensure that the player going for random skills still have an advantage, but you also allow he luckless coaches to have a playable roster.

Alternatively, you can implement the inducements (so everybody calculates his TV after getting the skills, and in some rare case (like Pete TV=1290, while others were at TV=1220) opponents will get a card or Blooddweiser babes).

Finally, for the warpstone token, I think that if you beef them they are going to be useless, except the fact that they look really cool Smile. What you can do is to cap the maximal amount at 2 warpstones per tournament, and their use at 1 per half.

I still really like the modified kick-off table event, the modified extra-time, the location, and rod, greg and joe.

The only thing i didnt like was pete Smile

It was great to see everyone again at a really fun tournament. I had a lot more fun playing Underworld than I thought I would and I was surprised at how well AV7 held up against everyone except Tom. For those interested I did a detailed write-up on my blog. Hopefully you can all come to BLINGTOOF'S GITBASH in November!

Nice blog. I didn't read every game though, just mine.

I'm not a fan of the warpstone tokens. I never got one, and I played against two people that had them and they were successfully used as rerolls. Which really worked against me. One of the players, had 2 of them and I think it made the difference between winning and losing. They did have counters to not work or have bad effects and even as rerolls required a "pro" roll. As my luck would have it they always worked and I got it in the end. For Rod, I guess I would base my decision on making changes on how the other teams faired against those tokens.

The team value difference was great. I was able to field a good orc team at 100TV. I used the dirty trick cards that Wapcaplets brought. They were great (for me). I think this format is good. I do kind of agree with Lizardcore on the running TV but I understand that it was for simplicity. This is a keeper in my opinion.

The 6 game format where the first few rounds is for positioning within your clan is different. Then the pressure afterwards is continuously winning. Going into OT on two games was nice to be able to do for a tournament. However, I got out of there on Saturday after 9:30pm and we didn't finish up until after 4pm on Sunday with only 2 games. While I enjoyed this I would make sure that everyone attending knows this in advance. A bonus to this is that you don't have to wait for all the games to finish to know who you are playing next. So you could start your next game as soon as your opponent was available. Keep this. I really liked it and didn't want to hang out with any of you guys afterwards anyway. (j/k) I was tired.

Overall, it was a fun tourney and I'm glad I went. Sorry your odd men out didn't get to play in the tourney. Maybe you could work it out where there doesn't have to be an even number of players in each clan. Its something to think about.

Game 5 was one of the most intensive games I have played in a while. Not getting any casualties (one near the end) really hurt and I think it could have been different if I had just a little more success. WOW.

Jennie and I had a great time! Loved the format.

Thanks for having us.

Remember the Pub Bowl is coming up on October 8th and make sure you take a look at the Google Maps of North America for the player locator and Tournament/League Scene.

We are going to try and hit up some more Canadian tourneys in the near future. Get some ole' fashion rivalries going haha.
