My girlfriend will fly to the States sunday, going to meet her relatives [she's half-american], and she's interested in making a match or two against an American BB Coach...
Her relatives stay in Media, a village situated near Phila, she said it's in the south...
Anybody in the area interested in a match? Her Orcs are waiting for a challenger |

Yeah but 'Little Italy' in Philly has some of the nicest Philadephians around, and Aramil's girlfriend is headed to that side of town... |

It's seems that nobody's interested... do I have to think that the americans fear to play against an european?
C'mon... could be that she'll have mercy and not beat you 4-0 |

Make sure you post the outcome!
Hmm, don't know whether to be chivalrous or root for the home team!
Aw, what the hell - hope you two just have fun . . . on the pitch!

Just got home from a great game with Margot.
She was a great person and a good player too. Definitely a keeper.
The game was Orcs (Margot) vs Wood Elves (Me). It ended 2 - 1 to the Orcs.
It started out with the Wood Elves winning the toss and in true Wood Elf fashion, they scored on their 2nd turn. However, Margot and her great armor and injury rolls left a wardancer KOd.
The orcs then received and started their slow march up the field.
On elf turn 7, a line-elf blitzed the ball carrier and knocked the ball loose. Another line-elf in the orc backfield picked it up but was left with the choice of either sitting on the sideline or next to an Orc Blitzer. I chose the blitzer.
Next turn, the Orc's knock the ball loose. Then Margot has a thrower run back, pickup the ball, GFI twice throw a long pass to her other thrower who easily catches it and runs in with for the tying game.
In the 2nd half, the Orc's receive and start by failing to pickup the ball. I sent a Wardancer to get the ball but he flubs the pickup himself. Margot is able to get the ball and setup her cage after flattening the wardancer.
The elves next turn has that same wardancer leap into the cage and knock the ball carrier over with the ball bouncing out of the cage. The other wardancer the grabs the ball and run back into the elf backfield, while the other elves setup a weak wall. Margot tries a risky blitz and fails a GFI leaving the wardancer all alone.
The next turn would be the turning point of the game. It starts with my wardancer with the ball all alone with an easy run to a lineelf who was 2 squares into the Orc backfield standing by himself.
Instead of taking care of the ball first, I decide to move my other wardancer in to support the future ball handler. Unfortunately, he did a double 1 on his dodge.
This left Margot in a great postion. By this point she had already KO'd 4 players and 2 others, with only 1 Orc injured and none KO'd. She then got the ball from the wardancer, built her cage and KOd another player.
The rest of the game was feeble attempts by my elves to get the ball loose or force her into bad rolls, none of which did anything. She scored the winning goal on turn 8 with 4 wood elves on the field.
With only 6 players (2 woke up) there wasn't much to do on the last turn but try for some revenge. I did manage to KO a Thrower on a foul.
All in all it was a very fun game.
All of Italy should be proud. |

Well done, Margot! And kudos to you, Jay, for providing what sounds like a great game to a visitor to the City of Brotherly Love... |

Thank's Jay for the game... Margot started playing BB just an year ago... but she's learning fast... especially flattening elves [I normaly use Dark Elves].
Ok, I'm happy with the result of this first match Italy vs USA... but I hope we would have the possibility to risk our leadership in the series in the future
Finally... Margot talked me about the game, but especially about jay, saying you were a really nice person... When you (and expecially your wife ) are interested in making a visit to Italy, just contact us... we can arrange a second match
