I play a Skaven team in a local league, and since I'm scheduled to play against a lot of bashy teams, I intend to buy a rat ogre when I can comfortably afford it. However, the league rules for the rat ogre vary significantly from the official rules, so I thought I'd post them here and hear what you guys think. Any advise on how to use him?

So you can have a 6-5-2-8 Prehensile Tail player with no negative traits? For 130k? However he replaces the 4th Gutter runner and can he use TRRs?
Either way I think he's worth having, I'd also swap a thrower for an extra Storm Vermin. |

Yeah, take him and use him any chance you get. From what i can tell, he doesn't even have the skill "big guy".
Your league rules look a lot like the "modest proposal" to me. They've been around on the net for many years, but as far as i can tell, they've never been used much. |

It was a set of rules made by dedicated coaches (Chet being one of them if memory serves) many years ago, with the explicit intend to simplify and standardize the rules. In it, big guys had no negative skills but took up a specific position slot. This is taken straight from that set of rules.
A simple search in Google gave this url, among others :

It was a set of rules collated by me, informed by many coaches on the old BB Mailing List. But it was never a democratic effort in any sense - that was my baby, although I incorporated a lot of very good ideas put forward by other coaches, and I frequently asked for review from the mailing list members.
