These are the first four guys of my new (classic) undead team, the Carrion Crows. I'm afraid the scanner is eating the highlights on the black clothing, but also smoothing some of my highlighting.
The wight is a try to create a "ghostly" look, inspired by the new LOTR range Barrow Wights that Melifaxis suggested to me in another thread, does it work, or is he just looking ... green?

Blimey... they're really good! I wish I wasn't painting similar models at the moment as there's no way I can match yours. I think I'll just hack my hands off instead... |

wow !!
great work !!
I realy like the grey colour of the Ghoul, the blood at his mouth is very good done !!
the whight also is cool, but a little bit to much of one colour I think.
The green come's out nicely with the black
Realy nice work man !! |

I agree, is a good work, but I think that the wight is too white. perhaps is the scanner. |

I think the wight looks fantastic, that model is one of my favorite Blood Bowl minis...it really captures the flavor of the game.
Great job! |

NICE JOB 'spalt!!!. That ghoul is sweet and I like the little etheral "My momma was a banshee" action you've got going on with the wight.
Overall, very tasty. |

Any tips on how you created the ghostly effects? |

Really good, damned immpressive... they are inspiring me to do something with my undead as I got nearly three teams of the suckers laying about collecting dust.

Thanks a lot for the comments!
For the whight, I undercoated him black (Like I always do), put on a base coat of a mixture of white, Dark Angels Green and (I believe it was) Lightnig Bolt Blue, then highlighted (mixture of drybrushing and highlighting by hand) with two lighter and a little greener mixtures of Putrid Green, Lighting Bolt blue, and white, inked some parts like the knees and the torso with very little Putrid Green in lots of water, and some other parts like the chainmail with old GW Vortex Blue in lots of water, and put on final highlights in white.
Sounds like a bit of work, but since I could do almost the complete mini in one go, this was a lot faster than the other ones! |

Very nice, like the colour scheme. Ghoul is magnificent, might have to borrow that greyish skin hue for mine.

Excellent paint job there!!
The wights 'ghostly' look is very cool, but it seems out of place with the overall colour scheme of the team. Perhaps if more parts of the outer armour were 'solid' (like the helmet, gloves) it would look more like it was part of the same team.
Regardless, still very nice. |
