Please give me your opinions.
1 Minotaur
10 Beatsman
4 RR
1 FF
It is not for a single game or tournament, it is for a league!
My thoughts:
I know the importance of FF 9, but we have some teams with up to FF 19! So no chance to beat this with FF 9 but therefore money is quite enough and therefore I can buy two more RR and a Minotaur, with saves me 140KGP.
First choice is an Apo, than I change the beastman into CW (in our league you can chance with no additional cost below teamrating 150 ). |

I'd probably say if its joining an experienced league start with an apoth. There are going to be players out there that can hurt and you can't afford to lose someone early on.
So I'd suggest dropping a RR for an apoth, then I'd swap the Mino and a Beastman for 2 CWs. Their high Av is handy, and having a S4 ball carrier will be invaluable. |

Im starting with
1 x Minotaur
2 x Chaos Warriors
8 x Beastmen
2 x Rerolls
7 x Fan factor
i think thats not a bad team at all for a league, hopefully my guys won't get killed 1st game so i can get an apothecary next. |

Trade the minotaur for a beastman and an apoth. With your weird league rules, you'll get the minotaur just as early as you would an apoth anyway. |

I started for the first time a team of Chaos, and I had quite alot of bad luck with it.
Two match played with it and I got a seriously injured Chaos Warrior (Niggling injury) and one dead Beastman.
I wish I had taken one less FF and one less Chaos Warrior (for another beastman) for an apothecary.
Just my 2 cents...

Well, if you want to go for the beastie side, how about:
1 Mino
11 Beastmen
2 Re-rolls
9 Fan Factors
Your first purchase would be an Apothecary.
Hope this helps.
Cheers |

I asked because my brother started a chaos team.
My personal favor is:
1 Mino
2 Chaos Warriors (like Doubleskulls said, ST4 ball carriers are great)
8 Beastmen
1 Apo
2 Re-Rolls
2 Fanfactor
Income mainly depends on the D6, and with AV8 and 9 and the possibility to take spikes I think you won't need a lot of cash (works well with my brother). |

Good skills and trais are IMO:
CW: tentakle(!), guard, block
1-2 Beastman: great hand, block
Beastman: block, claws, tackle
Mino: block, claws, guard
Use the CWs to fix fast players, kill them with beastmen. Mino for Superblitzer |

To add to this thread... I am looking at starting a Chaos team myself. Before reading this I had decided on the same line up as Ronnie, which I think I am still going to do.
Skill progression though... I have not read anything that says you can not take more than one mutation per person... correct?? If so.. what about the combination of Claw / Razer claw.. on say the Mino or a special beastman that you want to use for "TAKEOUTS" that sounds KILLER.. if its legal.

James,
Load 'em up with the mutations! The claw/razor claw has long been the bane of many players who end up on the receiving end of them.
Tha only thing to remember is that they only come with the roll of doubles - so you can't always count on them.
Any with a chaos team in league, I would also be sorely tempted to take a beastman with big hand very early onb (if not first) to give some ball control. |

Really? well that sucks, I always thought that if it was listed as one of the "skills" your race is ALLOWED.. then you get it on a normal skill roll.
Only items not normally allowed by your race do you need to roll doubles???
Oh well.. |

Sorry to burst your bubble ther buddy, but yeah, it is only alowable to Skaven and chaos, but only on the roll of doubles. but honestly, if skaven were allowed it on a regular roll, can you imagine all the Very Long Legged gutter runners out there? Yikes! |

Ya know, we could always do a league of only Chaos teams and then we could allow mutations as a regular roll....... |

Well first game went ok, it was against Skaven, they were 33 up on TR.. so I got 2 handicap... +1 rr was one.. HELPED!!
Anyway.. got out with a 2/2 tie and 80,000 in winnings.. no one dead and only 2 badly hurt....no one earned a skill roll though.. I did an apoth!!
Anyone know a good Apoth figure for CHAOS?? whats a good Chaos wizard fig??
