Sorry, I'm over in Boston. But I just had to chime in because I almost signed up under the handle Yzerman on the 10th. Stevie Y is the bomb!

Ahh, very cool! Are you a transplanted Detroit native? I spent part of my childhood growing up in Livonia.

Good to know there's another Redwings fan on here!

Cool. No geographic ties here, I just became a Wings fan back in the days of Ivan Boldirev, Greg Stefan and crew. Wow, they sucked back then. Then when Yzerman hit the league, you could tell he was going to be one of the best ever. I head out to Detroit for a game now and again. The Joe is the best rink I've ever had the privelege of watching a game at. Alas, I will stop boring the rest of the crew with non Blood Bowl chat.

The FABBL (Foothill Area Blood Bowl League) is getting underway March 8th 2003. The base is in Altadena/Pasadena and all SOCAL Players are incouraged to play. Contact Dennis or David >>> bloodbowl@earthlink.net

There is a slight $5 fee to pay for the uber cool TEAR OF ISEA glass engraved trophey (cool enough to put on your desk at work) that will be our first bowl tournament and end of the first regular season of play in mid April (probally the 19th), it also pays for the name plate to go on our TROPHEY of HEROS this thing is huge.

RUles are simple Blood Bowl
No Big Guys Teams
Star Players are single game FULL COST freebooters
Each player may only be awarded MVP once in regular season play and once in tournament play
Big Guys take up 2 player slots
Models must show progress through the season and be flocked and at least 2 colors of paint and player numbers by the playoffs. (get them good and ready for next season yea!) As we are starting up after a 3 year hiatis.
NOTE: You MUST use a reroll (if you have one) if you are called for an illegal procedure
BB mag #5 expermintal secret weapons rules in effect
you must play at least one game a week. missed schedule games constitues a forfit for both teams.
A draft for division and schedule slots will be held March 8th at Dennis' house (gaming from 8am till 5pm) (bloodbowl@earthlink.net for details) (or www.minimadd.com then click the bloodbowl link for details, ect) (gotta get that up)
ANywho come one come all
Billy has attested that dispite your ambitions his Dwarfs will win it all (he will probally draft to not be in my division)

That does sound real cool. Unfortunately I'm at least an hour and a half a east of Pasadena, so having to meet weekly and taking a forfeit if I didn't wouldn't work out too well.

Would any of your players be interested in either of the SoCal tournaments mentioned thus far? I'm trying to set one up for the Memorial Day Strategicon at the LAX Westin, and BlanchPrez is working on the ComicCon in San Diego.

FABBL is still running strong and is a good league for people in the Pasadena area (www.minimadd.com). Additionally, the LA Battle Bunker will be starting another league on April 16 at 5:00 PM.
