once the vampire turn is finished he returns to normal.
he can not use sidestep, pass block etc while gazed (in the vampire turn) |

...but in the rule it says that the Hypnotized player cannot even foul... and fouling is an action you can take only during your own turn!
Reading it again and again I now personally think that the player wake up only at the end of his team's turn... and that would make Hypnitic Gaze a very good skill and Vampires Teams much more usable and maybe competitive... |

I agree it would, but I'm not sure it was the intention of the rule. I would love it if it was the case |

It says "assist a foul" and assisting a fouls can be taken in the opponent's turn.
"For the team turn" should read further "the player was gazed".
So HG ever only lasts until the end of the active coaches turn. |

Gaze only last until the end of the turn it is used in. The Foul thing has to do with given opposing assists when an opponent fouls.

You know, it doesn't say anything about interceptions, does it? The way I read it, an INT attempt would still be possible. I wonder if that was the intent? |

nope, he may not catch the ball which is what an interception roll is. just with a high difficulty |

But a catch is not an interception. That's why there is extra language in the catch skill that lets you reroll INT's, and that's the reason Extra Arms doesn't work on interceptions.
I think it's a loophole that should be closed. |

skummy, interceptions are catches at -2 to the roll. Also I'm pretty sure if you go through the LRB 4.0 you'll see Galak has covered all the modifiers.
Extra arms doesn't work because it explictly states "This trait does not work on interception attempts." not because it only works on catches! |

IIRC, the bit on Extra Arms not helping on intercepts was added in a rules review becasue people kept getting confused about this.
Wish TBB was up so I could reference some of the old threads on the subject. |

I'm pretty sure all of this got sorted in LRB 4.0 - I had a look through and all the catch refences now have "or intercept".
So it was a hole that got closed. |
