In three threads so far I read a reply stating that it is possible to use a team reroll on a failed(or even succesful) Pro-roll.

You cannot use a team re-roll to reroll a failed pro-roll.

There I said it Pow

Why do you think that you can't? Just curious to hear your reasoning.

LRB 4.0 page 15.

Section PLAYER RE-ROLLS:

" ... However, as noted above, a single dice roll may not be re-rolled more than once. "

Mr. Green

I think Pro is causing alot of questions... And BITE ME I THINK I AM ACTUALLY wrong with the statment above. Hopefully I can get it solved here....

Hmmm

Well you have to admit that the skill description of PRO is confusing.
It says

"... However you can re-roll the PRO roll with a team re-roll..."

Skull Skull Embarassed

So .... You vets out there - what is it?
I'd still say page 15 counts. Seems a bit odd to be able to re-roll a dice twice?

But you're not re-rolling the same dice twice, you're re-rolling the Pro dice once.

You aren't re-rolling a die twice. There are two different rolls here. The first is the action the player was performing (Block, dodge, etc.). The second is the die roll to see if Pro is successful.

Each of these rolls can be re-rolled only once. If the roll for the Pro skill fails then the original "action" roll stands and cannot be re-rolled

The "pro roll" is a 4+ roll to allow you to reroll another dice roll, such as a block or dodge you just made, and is a separate roll to the one you want to reroll. If you fail that you can use a team reroll to reroll that dice as you've only rolled it once so far.

What you can't do is try to use pro to reroll a block, for example, fail to get a 4+ and then use a team reroll to reroll the block.

Also you couldn't make a block, reroll it using a team reroll and then reroll it again using a successful pro roll. Or make a dodge, reroll it using dodge skill and then reroll it again using a team reroll and then reroll it yet again using a successful pro roll. These last two examples are what the "a single dice roll may not be re-rolled more than once" rule is referring to.

I hope that helps clear things up.

Example.

1)
You block(one dice block) Roll a Skull
You use Pro - Roll a 1-3.
End of story you go down.

2)
You block(one dice block) Roll a Skull
You use Pro - Roll a 4-6.
You roll the blockdice again and roll a Pow
Good for you.

3)
You block(one dice block) Roll a Skull
You use Pro - Roll a 4-6.
You roll the blockdice again and roll a Skull
Hmmm
Now you use a team re-roll?

In my head thats re-rolling the blockdice more than once.
see my confusion ?

OMG - We posted at the same time.

Thank you.

So you cannot re-roll a twice failed block.
But you can re-roll a roll where Pro did not succed.

I get it now - Thank you.

I am sure this will also clear up alot of questions for other than me.

(Actually we agreed all along - I just have no doubts now Mr. Green )

You can't use a team rerool on the Skull at the end of example 3).

What you could do is add a step to 1)
You block(one dice block) Roll a Skull
You use Pro - Roll a 1-3.
You use a team reroll to roll the Pro die again - Roll a 4-6
You roll the blockdice again and roll a Pushback
Typical, all that effort for a lousy Pushback Rolling Eyes
