I did a search on this and couldn't find a thread on it.
Dump Off happens on the other coach's turn, same with Pass Block.
Hypothetically:
My player is Blitzing, and the player with the ball has Dump Off, he plans the Dump Off and I have a player near by with Pass Block.
Can the dump Off be intercepted?

Since a Dump-off isn't a pass action I'd say no. I wouldn't award SPPs for it either. Your passblocker isn't expecting a pass, he's probably watching to retreive the scattered ball after the thrower gets splatted. |

I think I'm right in saying that you can Pass Block a dump off - but not with the blitzing/blocking player. |

As Dump-Off is a (special) pass - I would say Yes.
Every pass you can intercept you con also pass block.
Pass Block would be the counter-counter-attack of the counter-attack Dump-off of the blitz. |

Ohhhhh right I know that. The Blitz is an Action and using the Pass Block skill to make the Interception is an action. By the LRB a player can only do one action per turn.
I reviewed the Dump Off again. and it does say, all normal Passing Rules apply. |

That's my recollection as well. I think it was in a Q&A at one point |

I wish I could download the Q&A and see if this is in there. It just doesn't feel right to me.
BTW the passblock isn't an action. For the record, I wouldn't call the dump-off an action either as it's happening during the opponent's turn. |

You can Pass Block a Dump-Off as long as you do so without the player beforing the block/bliz causing the Dump Off.
Also you can get interception SPPs from a Dump Off and if the Dump Off is accurate you can get completion SPPs as well.

Okay. If you say so. Is that written down anywhere? You might want it to be even though I'm the only person here who wouldn't call it that way looking at the skill descriptions. |

My team isn't worried about what you are gonna do with all them inducements.
They are more concerned and worried about what your Girlie Elfs are gonna be wearing and what they will be wearing to look better.
HA!!
Yes, coaches we both use the Shadow Forge Female Elf Team. |

Personally the who argument sounds a bit lawyer-ish to me. Whether or not the dump off is an "action" or not....
To my mind the dump off is a pass. 'Cuz it just is.
Pass block is used when a player passes.
So common sense says that you can use it.
And for the record I would award SPPs for it too.

Dump Off says it follows all the rules for a normal pass which means interceptions, pass block working, and completion SPPs.
The FAQ already says for LRB 4.0 that you can Pass Block a Dump Off (and I do know you said you didn't have the FAQs in front of you ... but it is already in there). So if Pass Block works ... the interception and completion SPPs come in by default.

No it's not.
PB is not an action, so I'd assume that a PB player (that hasn't already been that turn) the pass blocks a Dump-off and still take his action for the turn. |

Is there any Clarification on Dump Off anywhere?
- or -
Maybe we take this to the GW Blood Bowl Forum? |
