Hello all,
This is my first post!
I just wanted to know if anyone had any good tips / tactics in useing a Goblin team into a force to be dealt with. I have been playing a Dark Elf Team off and on for about 2 years and need a change.
Any ideas for what you starting lineup would be?
And how would you play them vs speed and hurty teams?
Any help would be great. And if anyone needs help with a dark elf team let me know.
Rob

Is the league allowing the secret weapons rules proposed in BB Mag 5? If not, lobby for them. |

10: Make as much use of Dodge as you can!
11: Use the Ogres wisely and make sure they don't get pummeled by the opponent...

13. Play an opponent who consistantly has trouble breaking AV7 or higher.

Give big guys break tackle then - Turn one: pick up the ball with a goblin, Dodge other goblins away from players to form a cadge or pocket around the ball carrier and hit stuff with big guys. Turn two : 'dodge' the big guy to the goblin (so the goblin can avoid moving before the throw), then chuck him downfield, to maximum range, but not closer than 3 squares to the edge of the pitch. Then just pray the goblin lands safely (save re-rolls for this) But beware, is you dont score the touchdown on the first or second turn after drive starts, you are gunna get creamed. |

Mmmm, creamed goblin. My favourite. Ketchup, anyone?
Seriously, though, I'm with Squiggoth on this; don't be afraid to use the dodge skill. With a bit of luck, you can even get a bunch of Gobbos downfield in a pocket around a ball carrier. With more luck, the ball carrier might even be on your team. The only other way to score is Lob-a-Gobbo, and that isn't a reliable game winning plan.
Good luck, and look forward to making your mates happy with all their wins against you. |

i'm currently runing a goblin team and that's what i've learnt. Go for ogres, RR and the highest FF when creating the team. goblin are cheap to buy anyway and soon your roster will be full. get some more later! Always score quickly coz i don't know hy they're not good at blocking dodge, dodge, dodge. but as long as they don't have tackle, it's alright to leave some in contact, they have dodge after all. and my opponents can't resist to block a goblin while they could score. and they often get double skulls or block! don't be afraid of throwing gobbos. if they fall, the move they lost is companseted by the flight. And thrown in a cage, it can have funny (or deadly) results.
pray to get a +1 AG
always leave a gobbo next to a big guy, you can throw them on blitz!
foul to the max
play for fun
To play them well, you need to think like a goblin |

Mmm... I got a problem breaking AV7 or lower... Goblins, Norse and Wood Elves are perfectly safe against me and Dwarfs die like flies

Stunty is worth it's weight in gold. DODGE. I don't go for the thrown Goblin being a reliable tactic but it sure is fun. That's what this team is all about. No matter what you do, don't take them seriously and have fun with them. |

Use Dodge
Run them in little groups. One can block with two assists, the fourth foul with three.
Take out opposition one at the time.
Use dodge
If you get an Ag4 gob THROW!!!
Score when you can, don't delay
Chainsaw, POISONED DAGGER, bombs for fun
USE DODGE |

And I'm gonna sculpt 14 tiny tennis rackets (for the Goblins) and 2 big ones (for the Trolls). Wacking somebody over the head with a tennis racket should prove much more devastating then trying to knock him over with tiny Goblin fists
