Post subject: frenzy follow up question  PostPosted: Apr 19, 2003 - 01:17 AM

when a player with frenzy makes a block and gets a pushback, he must follow up into the square occupied by the opponnent and make another block. does this also apply to knockdown results as well since knockdown says, "pushed back and knocked over"? Can the frenzied player choose not to follow up if he knocks his opponnent over or does he always have to follow up no matter what.

if he does have to always follow up then wild animals like the rat ogre and minotaur will almost always be required to throw a block since they are forced to follow up there blocks and throw one at the beginning of every turn they start next to an opponnent. without team rerolls that puts the player in a greater chance for a turnover every turn. that seems very limiting for the players that have wild animals with frenzy, that once they commit him to block someone he will be blocking them until he knocks them off the pitch or they run from him.

I have a few wild animal/frenzy players in my league that would like to know what the official ruling is.

thanks for the help.

The Frenzied player MUST always follow up, even if he knocks down the opponent..
He MUST also follow up after the second block, if he didn't knock down the opponent wiht the first.
And yes, this is VEEERY dangerous for a player to have Wild Animal frenzied players in the team........ ask my skaven, after a game they actually played 4 turns out in 16 due to a unlucky rat-ogre... Rolling Eyes

I thought a WA's best friend was a couple of helpers or +1 Strength?

Ah, but a person on either side prevents other people from *getting* assists...

Yep. The helpers are there to take away assists.

Sure, my answer was to the +1 strenght part of the post ... Smile

Sadly, helpers are gone behind all too soon when you're frenzied... Rolling Eyes
