A question for the mighty gestalt god Nuffle.
If you retire a player do you get to add 1 to your total of assistant coaches? If so where in the rulebook does it say this?
I have a friend (no really, this time it isn't me) who swears blue in the face that this is the way it is. I have pored over the LRB5 but can't find it. Can anyone tell me if he is remembering a previous edition rule or if he is just pulling things out of confined spaces of his body?
Much appreciation,
Your fan and plaything, Vain. |

I believe it was in LRB3 or 4.
It no longer exists in LRB5.
Hope this helps
Cheers.... |

Yes, in LRB4 you could retire a player and he became an assistant coach. In LRB5, it is no longer the case. |
