MBBL Summer '09 Season Announcement
With the playoffs for the ???08-???09 winter season coming up next week and the Ice Bowl Championship game in two weeks, the Memphis Blood Bowl League is gearing up for the summer ???09 pre-season.
Pre-Season will begin April 22 and run for two weeks. The regular season will begin two weeks later on May 6 and run for 8-10 weeks depending on the number of players. After that there will be one or two weeks of playoffs followed by the Championship Bowl Game and possibly an All Star Game.
The Winter Season had 9 players and all plan to return for the Summer Season, plus one additional player and another possible. To play in the league it is required that new players play in at least one pre-season game on League night and entry to the MBBL will be approved by the Commission. The Winter Season has been very successful with no players dropping out and no forfeits.

MBBL Summer League '09 Rules to Participate
Required Materials:
Painted Team
11 to 16 miniatures (GW figures not required)
All figures must have a number on them
Coach, Cheerleaders, Asst coaches, Apothecary, Wizard NOT required (But Cool)
Copy of the Game (Or substitution)
Board and Dugout
Blocking Dice, 2xd6's, 1xd8 and 1xd16 or d20
Game Templates (passing, throw-in and scatter)
Team Roster (spreadsheet or log)
Player Aid Sheets (recommended)
Copy of Rules (LBBR version 5.0)
Stopwatch or Egg timer
League Night:
The REQUIRED league night is Wednesday.
We will be gaming at the Trinity Road Game store. Gaming hours are 5pm ??? 10pm.
Players must play their scheduled game each Wednesday or forfeit. The game can be played
within the next six days only if BOTH coaches agree and contact the commissioner. A forfeited
game will go by the rulebook p29. The winning coach will get a 2-0 victory in the standings,
both players winnings and both MVP's.
Rules:
The MBBL will be using LBBR version 5.0 with the following changes.
MVP award, the MVP will be randomized (using a d16) among the players that
PLAYED on the pitch, including Star Players, journeymen and mercenaries.
Additional changes may be added based on the feedback from the Winter Season.
