Heya folks. First post . I have been away from BB for a long time. I played a lot when 3rd edition had just been released but not much since, focusing mostly on WH Fantasy where I play Orcs. So I decided it was high time to dust off my block dice and make a new team to play with.
With a pretty huge collection of Bitz kicking around, I decided to use the new 40k Nobz as the basis of my linemen / blitzers. There are plenty of nice extras on the sprues and the shoulder pads are very blood bowl ish. The only disadvantage was the one piece torso/legs, which was simply sawed in half in each case to give me more positioning options.
Heres what I have done so far. They all still need filling, some moul line cleaning where I missed them and a bit of GS detailing.
Linemen
I followed the new ogre poses on these and some American Football photos. Pretty happy with the way they came out though some were a little fiddly.
Lineman 1 Front
Lineman 1 Side
Lineman 2 Front
Lineman 2 Side
Lineman 3 Front
Lineman 3 Side
Blitzers
For the Blitzers I wanted a more dynamic pose. I added a Jaw plate and a bit more armour, with larger shoulder spikes to make them stand out. Only one finished so far...
Blitzer 1 Front
Blitzer 1 Side
More to come when I manage to get my hands on more Nobz! |

Thanks for the comments
Managed a few more models, though they all need filling and GS work. Firstly I altered the Blitzer to make him a bit more dynamic
Then added my fourth and final lineman
And a second Blitzer running (or tripping) full tilt
Thats all for now. Hopefully get the final two Blitzers done by the end of the coming week. |

Thanks!
Looking at 4 Blitzers, 4 Black Orcs, 1 Throwe, 4 Linemen, 2 Goblins and a Troll, though one of the Goblins may become a second thrower. |

As I said before, they look great!
Theres just a couple of bits I dont recognize (I dont buy orc spreus for a long time so it might be it): Were did you get the jaws from blitzer 3&4 and the should pad from (and arm cover) from blitzer 4 (from the arm with the glaive)? Are those from what particular orc sprue?
Cheers

Thanks Axtklinge. Nearly all the bitz were from the nobz sprue. The only one that wasn't was the spike which came from a power claw in my bitz box. i trimmed it to shape and glued onto the Nobz arm.
Started work on Snuggles the Troll

Great. Now the Orcs I converted myself seem so boring. I will have to remake them now. But be assured, I will copy most of the stuff You did ... |
