This was supposed to be a birthday present for my brother back in July, but it grew a life of it's own and took me a while to convert.
Well, I've cut off the hands to a Lion Warrior Catcher and GS'ed them onto the High Elf captain that a member over at TBB recommended. I don't think he looks too bad for my first full conversion.

I would like to say that converting the pewter was a pain as it melted when I tried to get rid of it with a dremel tool. I think I would have been happier if I went with plastics like other people suggested. |

Plastic is definitely the way to go!
From a fluff perspective, remember that Eldril wears the Eye of Tzeentch (on his belt I believe). This is what gives him his Hypnotic Gaze ability. |

Dammit!!! I thought that Tzeentch cursed him with that power, I didn't think there was a device that gave it to him. |

Nice convertion Bjorn!
Plastics are indeed easier to convert, as you can cut it with a blade.
Still, I've lost the count of the metal minis I've converted with fine results.
I never work with dremel in such small figures.
I would advice you to try to use a "pin vice" or a small metal saw to drill holes or cut metal.
Dremel is dificult to hold steady, and will eventualy cut details it shouldnt.
Nice work anyway!
Cheers
A. |

Spazz is wrong. Tzentch "gifted" Eldril with Hypnotic Gaze after winning the Chaos Cup. Did You Know is in the LRB 5.0. |

There was alot of stuff made up to fill the spaces in LRB 5, I'd look for fluff from earlier sources to find out which one is right (2ed sources are probably the best as all 3ed and later fluff is based off of that). But that's just my opinion, believe what fluff you wish to believe. |

Is there any place were we can download all those older LRB editions?
I surely have a few of those past eds them printed and stored somewhere, but it would be cool to have them all stored in the same place... |

There's a website called "Lore of Nuffle" that had pretty much all of the background fluff on it. It had stuff on teams, reaces, staduums, etc. Not sure about star player backgrounds. I'm sure you'd be able to find it by googling it. |

Torg wrote: There was alot of stuff made up to fill the spaces in LRB 5 Not true Torg ... we put in background to complement the rules ... NOT to fill in space. In the case of the one for the NBA ... we added it as a shout out to current history. Of course if you believe the new background items in LRB 5.0 are just space filler ... I'm sure we could delete that one to make room for other rules related items not in the book. (ie ... careful with comments like the one ... you are definitely throwing stones in a glass house).
The Eldril text in LRB 5.0 is true background. There should be no incorrect background history Torg where you have to believe one instead of another.
The only contradiction in background that I'm currently aware of is a reference to the Lustrian Croakers team as a Lizardman team in a Blood Bowl Magazine ... outside of that they are all correct. This based on doing a TON of research to put the LRB 5.0 background together with Stephen.
As a final note ... unless I'm missing something I cannot find any reference at all to the Eye of Tzeentch as a magic item in Blood Bowl in either 2nd or 3rd edition rules or background.

Hmmm..... dunno where I got that idea - maybe I had seen somebody had painted a hypno-coin dohicky on an Eldril model's belt buckle or something. |
