Apologies if this has been asked before, but the wording in the LRB5 is a bit unclear.
Can the Grab skill be used during a block AND blitz action? Or only during a block action?
thx

The part where you can push a player to any adjacent square requires a Block action, and that the victim does not have side step.
If the victim has side step, then side step and grab cancels eachother out, and the normnal push rules apply.
The part about the two skills canceling eachother out works on both Block and Blitz actions.
At least, that's how I read it |

Whether you are performing a Block or a Blitz Action ... Grab cancels Side Step. But only when you are performing a Block Action does it allow you to move a player into an adjacent square of your choice.

Dumb question - If my player (with Grab) blocks an opponent (without Side Step) on the edge of the board, why can't I push him into the crowd? |

The grab skill explicitly says that it only works if there is one or more unnoccupied squares next to the player being pushed. Otherwise you follow normal pushback rules. So you could only surf someone if you could normally, grab or not.
You can use grab to set up easy surfs, just can't fling people into the crowd quite so easilly. |

You can elect to not use Grab and crowd push people. I assume you mean the Cyanide game which doesn't have it implemented correctly, unless Grab is a skill you can set to being optional... |

You can set Grab as optional in Cyanide game. If you want to crowd push someone you have to make sure to NOT check that you are using Grab to do it. |
