Virginia's tournament season will begin this January with the Lucky '13 tournament at Atlantis Games & Comics in the ruggedly beautiful Ocean View section of Norfolk.
There won't be a dedicated website, but here is the rules packet:

As this is going to be a one-off event (because "Lucky '14" doesn't have much of a ring to it), we're trying a few extra rules. These are mostly intended to shake up the usual rosters in favor of deeper squads and inexpensive players. I think elves can still get by, though!
It's also going to be really cheap, at only $10. Lunch and custom d6s included (while supplies last).
The tournament is being run by veteran coach Chris Beacham, and any inquiries about registration, etc. should be sent to him at Beacham@atlantis-comics.com
But if you have questions/comments/complaints about the rules I should be able to field them.

I have just started playing Blood Bowl a couple of years ago and I have started to go to tournaments and the such as well. Our League is a solid one and should provide a good player base for the tournament but I like playing people I have not played yet. I mean it gets kind of old beating the same prople and getting beatten by the same people as well. I have found one thing about tournaments. The more people who partisapate in them are more fun the tournament. So the more people who show up the greater chance I will not have to play some one from my league so please attend and rescure me from this delima. Also you will add to the fun of the tournament.
This tournament looks kind of intresting. I mean with the special rules they have added good luck can turn to bad at the same time and bad luck can turn to good just the same. Streach your roster and you get rewarded. Hey it keeps you in the game any way and with an incentive you might as well do it. I had a good time at the last tournament in the area and this one should have many of the same people there. It looks like fun and that is what you go to a tournament for in the first place. So come join us and have fun and hey the 2D6 they provide just might be your lucky 13. (I know 6+6=12 but they will have 13 on them so......Oh never mind.) Just come join us sheesh. lol. |
