Yeah,
Hello there NAFanauts.
I've been building myself a DungeonBowl board over on dakkadakkda.com and thought I'd share it with you. It's built now and I've just started painting the walls.
I bought the MDF dungeon kits from Angry Badger .com
I received my package on the 17th Feb – Woohoo!
This is 4x hall sets and 2x great entrance sets!
$210 of stuff.
Some close ups of details..
It looks Lovely : )
I plan to recreate one of the recommended DungeonBowl layouts that appeared in WD225
After playing around a bit I settled on this layout.
…
this thread on dakkadakka has lots of the building process blogged.
So if you want to see all the cutting and sticking.
you can check that out here
...
It’s now built and ready for paint.
It breaks down into six parts for painting.
and here's a bunch of close ups I took during the blog to give an Idea of scale.

I think the cool thing with Dungeon Bowl there are no set boards, I have on paper different Dungeon Boards than the one example you have shown.
Your 3D board looks great by the way.
I think if I were to make a 3D board I'd do something similar to what you did except the only difference I'd make is instead of one large fixed board I'd have lets say 9 smaller fixed boards that can be positioned in many combinations, so every game would be a different board setup.
But even one fixed board is still amazing, great job! |
