League Details:
We us CRP as a base for rules. We felt this was best as it is free to everyone via PDF and the "new" rules are 95% the CRP anyway. However there are a few "house" rules or rules of note below.
1. No 4 min time limit or illegal procedure
2. Human catchers are 60k
3. Special Play Cards. They will only be used as inducements per the CRP and will not be distributed at the beginning of every game like the new rules state.
4. All official 24 CRP teams. No Brettonians, Khorne, or Simyin. If GW make all new teams available we will update at that time.
5. New Nurgle star player Guffle Pusmaw is available at errata price of 210k
6. They will continue to be Bloodwiser Babes. You can't force me to be PC GW!!!!
7. New rules for MVP. Random amongst 3 chosen players.
8. Argue the call per new rules is in. If a player were to be sent off for a foul or secret weapon the head coach can argue the call. On a 1 head coach sent of and -1 to Brilliant Coaching the rest of the game, on a 6 the player is only sent to reserves. Turnover still applies.
9. We are going to look for alternatives for pilling on. It was too powerful before and the new rule nerfs it unusable.
10. Weeping daggers on Gutter Runners. We will give the rule a try and see how it goes.
11. Zara will continue to be a star player.
12. Fan Favorite will continue.
13. We are going to try the new rules for Expensive Mistakes instead of Spiraling Expenses.
14. More in regards to league format below but we will see how the new rules for the Off-Season & Re-Drafting found on pages 25-27 works.
15. Timber is useable by Halfling treemen but not Wood Elves.
16. When pushing a player off the pitch and the result on the dice chosen would have normally knocked the player back and down (Pow or Dodge Pow with or without tackle) you can choose to roll the players armor at a chance of recording the casualty and appropriate SPP. If you fail the armor roll, no matter the number, the player is put into reserves. You can also choose the standard rule of straight injury with no chance of casualty points as normal.
17. The first two games after a team is created will be considered "pre-season" for them. This means they will gain SPP as normal but players on the team will only receive a Badly Hurt result for any casualty inflicted upon them.
2. League format.
Open league format. We felt this was the best idea due to the potential of new people coming through the door at any time. The last thing we want is a potential new player show up, see the game and get excited, but then us tell them. "We're in a scheduled league right now, come back in 3 months." Cuz we all know that happens then, they never come back. Plus we all have lives and things happen to where people have to drop abruptly. An open league fixes all those issues.
The plan is to have 3 month season, 4 times a year. A 2 month regular season and 1 month playoff. After which the Off-Season rules and Re-Drafting would apply before starting another 3 month season. Each season will be played for one of the four major cups (Spike, Dungeon, Chaos, and Blood) appropriate team benefits will be given to the victor.
You must play at least 8 games and no more than 12 in a season to qualify for the playoffs. If you do not play enough games to qualify for the playoffs, then your team will not have to deal with Off-Season and Re-drafting. They will just pick up where they left off next season.
You can play two separate teams during a given season. If they both qualify for the playoffs, then you will choose one of them for it.
It is not required for league games to be played on Tuesday night at TT or at TT at all in fact. However, it is HIGHLY...I'll say that again HIGHLY...suggested you try to for most of your games as it builds a better league atmosphere all playing together. You can play either of your teams, wherever, whenever, with the following exception. You cannot play the same coach more than twice without both of you playing another coach first. |
