We have reached the end over overtime in our league championship game. 2-2 tie.... And we have played 7 hours!
We have paused the game to see if there are other rules for continued play besides the shootout.
Particularly, do we roll to see who gets the kick for another half OR does the person who got the kick in Overtime now have to kick off.
Thanks for input! |

Seven hours? That sounds harsh.
There are no fixed overtime rules. Make up your own one! Switching the kicking/receiving team makes sense.
As a side note, I always liked the rule that in overtime the team winning the coin toss decides to kick or receive, but the kick-off event will always be a Blitz. Evens out a bit the fact that the kicking team won't get a chance to receive again. |
