greetings from south America:
you know that here we love soccer, and all the soccer teams have a captain. the questions is if anybody have developed a sistem to play with captains in blood bowl. I'm not sure, but maybe in a Blood Bowl magazine appear this experimental rules, but we don¿t have GW stores, so, we cannot buy the magazines.

Got some rules for captain (found on the web)
You choose one player and he get the trait "leader" + 1 XP roll for free ( due to his hyper motivition).
But if his team lose 3 match in a row, the captain QUIT the team and became a assistant.  |

Another couple of ideas for adding a captain:
1. use the rules by Jarvis Johnson for making your own players, take a lineman for your team and upgrade him with the leader skill for the extra points given by jarvis's player character
or
2. just start with one lineman with 6 experience and the Leader skill. |

* TEAM CAPTAINS:
Starting in season three, each team begins play with a designated Captain. This player may NOT be a Big Guy. The player starts with 2 MVP's (10 SPP's) and a normal skill - no skill roll and no ageing roll. The league will pay a bounty on any Niggling Injury (10,000 gold) or Death (20,000) of a Captain. Captains are immune to ageing. In the event of the death of a Captain, a new Captain must be named. That player becomes immune to ageing rolls but gains no new SPP's.

We were going to use the following, but I forgot to add it to the leagues houserules.
You may select one plyer on your team (not a big-guy). Their cost is increased by 20k (30k if the players cost is 100k or greater, and yes, it comes from your 1,000,000). This player can take a normal skill, which does not count towards his maximum of 7 skills. The Captain may only be purchased at the time of team creation, and if killed, cannot be replaced. |
