How many League commish's are going to be keeping the Classic Undead as a roster even if they are made unofficial by the BBRC? Just takign a head count as I am being bombarded by the 5 Strongly opinionated Undead players about "Not wanting to feed the greed by buying another GW team" . I'm inclined to leave well enough alone with undead and include them as an option just because I am a big fan of a standard Undead team and am not a fan of the khemri teams 4 str 5 from the start team. |

Nothing wrong with the Undead team. The Khemri team is appalling, but not because of the 4 ST5 Mummies, its just that it's all the team has, 4 good player and a heap of useless crap. We have had several of them in our league and they were all crap. Even the one with 4 piling ons and big casualties couldn't win. |

MBBL2 ... yes
PBeMBBL ... no
MBBL ... no
Those are the three leagues that I act as rules commish for.

My league kinda broke apart, but I figured I could make an argument for keeping them as a kind of Undead Pact team, so I voted yes.

I don't think the coaches need to buy new miniatures. Let them use the Mummies as Flesh Golems. Let them designate a pair of Ghouls as Werewolves - or, if you don't like the Werewolf, let them run with 4 Ghouls instead. (Ghouls are certainly no stronger than Weres.)
If that's their best defense for keeping the team, I'd make the switch as league commissioner, assuming I wanted to stay close to the LRB.

~*(Not involved in league play at the moment, so take advice with pinch of salt)*~
I reckon the best way would be to let the existing teams in the leage keep the old rules, but to let new teams start with the, erm, 'new' Undead.
Ignoring the cost involved for a minute, (OH MY GOD )
if it wasn't progress such as this we would still be using silly-ass Slann which were big frogs who used to fly space ships but 'forgot how and now play Bloodbowl'. My problem with that? They used to be possibly the worst team in the 2nd edition you could possible get!?!?!?!?!?!? (well excepting Snotlings ).
It's all part of the game man, and if I have to buy a new team once every couple of years then, well to be honest, it is probably one of the cheapest GW games around!!!!! |

This is exactly what we've decided to do in our league. |

My Slann team in the MBBL2 is hoping you'll join up in January dwarfcoach so my silly-ass frogs can kick your butt up and down the pitch. Trust me the current rules for the team definitely do not make them poor to play anymore.

Hmm, well if my performance this year in tourneys is anything to go by you would not even need the whole team to turn up
But as ever, the only answer to a challenge like that has to be:
BRING IT ON!!!! |

I love Khemri. I am 2-2 in MBBL with No piling on.
Don't put piling on your mummies, especialy after the rule change.
Mummies = Block, MULTIPLE BLOCK (Frenzy doubles)
Use the mummies as a picket line.
Use Skeletons and Thro-Ra's as ball carriers.
Put Surehands and then block on skeletons (Pro/catch for doubles)
Put accurate, strong arm and safe throw on Throw ra.
Blitz Ra-. Mighty blow, Guard. support those mummies.
Build a cage around Thro-ra until you get near end zone. Pass to a skelton who can score, or run in with Thro-ra. Which ever is easier. |

well, one of the best teams here, in the CBBL, are the undeads, and they will continue be one of the best. we are willing to allow a khemri team, but the undeads will be with us for a long time, no matter the opinion of GW! |

Our league is keeping the traditional Undead team...and we'll probably update the roster per the 2003 BBRC changes.
I'm currently playing a Khemri team and I've finished 9-3 out of a 12 game season...they are a "different or challenging" team to play so I wouldn't consider them crap exactly. |

Isn't this kinda a moot point now that the team has remained offical? I agree with the 2 less wights though. |
