The 15th annual Greenstone Cup Tournament will take place at the Rose Park Hotel on the 1st and 2nd of September 2018.
There will be 5 matches played over two days under the Swiss system, using the Score! software.
• Coaches will be seeded for the first round to prevent players from the same clubs playing each other straight away where ever possible.
Scoring:
The tournament points scoring system will work as follows:
Winning The Match - 4 points
Drawing The Match - 2 points
Losing The Match - 1 point
Losing by >1 TD - 0 points
No bonus point system will be used for GSC 2018
Overtime will not be played.
In the case of a tie, placing’s will be decided by Total Score, Opponents Score, Net Touchdowns and Net Casualties, in that order, as calculated by the Score! program.
Teams and Player Progression:
This is a resurrection tournament, and as such, Injuries and SPPs will not be carried over into subsequent rounds. Each team resets to its original starting line-up after each match.
Players and inducements are purchased from a budget of 1,100,000 gold.
A single Star Player can be purchased per team with the exception of Stunty teams, who may purchase two Star Players. You may not purchase extra skills for Star Players. If both teams have the same star player, it is assumed that the star has a twin, and both play in the match as per normal.
You may purchase any of the inducements listed in the NZ Tournament Rosters Handbook. However, cards will not be used for this tournament.
Teams must start with at least 11 players (star players do count towards this number).
Skills are purchased from a separate budget of 150,000 gold. You may purchase up to 2 Normal Skills (at 20,000 GP each) or 1 Double Skill (at 30,000 GP) per player. Each unique skill may be purchased no more than four times on any team. |
