Team Creation
Coaches have 600k to spend on players, backroom staff and rerolls. There are a number of rules to follow when creating a team –
• Teams must have a minimum of 7 players on the roster and a maximum of 11
• Coaches may hire no more than 4 specialist positionals on their teams. Everyone else must be the equivalent of linemen (the 0-12 or 0-16 position). No more than 2 of the same positional may be hired. Ogres and Vampires are exempt from this rule as their choices are so limited.
• Rerolls cost double the normal amount, a Human teams rerolls for instance would cost 100k and not 50k
• No Star Players or Legendary side-line staff are allowed
• Coaches may hire the following backroom staff – Assistant Coaches, Cheerleaders, Apothecaries, Sporting or Racial Wizards, Halfling Master Chefs and Weather Mages
• Coaches may take 0-3 bribes and 50k special play cards

Games
The rule changes for BB7s are listed below. On the night there will be 3 games, each lasting no more than one hour. The turn around between games will be as quick as possible. The first round will be random and afterwards it will be done on Swiss.
7 Card Brag
It all comes down to this . . . . this final BB7s tournament of 2018. This is your final chance of winning and event and for some, their last stab at being the BB7s series champion. Who will it be? Who will end with the final bragging rights?
For 7 Card Brag, each coach will receive a pack of custom made Special Play cards. Each round they will present the cards to their opponent who will select 2 of them. Those cards may then be played in that match . . . . one in the first half and one in the second half (there is one exception to this, the ‘Cornish’ card applies in each half).
Each coach will also be given a envelope. At the end of the match the cards selected for that game go into the envelope and are not used for the rest of the event. This means in game 2 you will have a pool of 5 cards and in the final game a pool of 3 cards. Of the 7 cards you are given, there will be 1 that you won’t get to use.
The cards are themed around 7 of the coaches who have attended the BB7 events in 2018. They are the following –
• The winner of each event - Phlsmth, Porky, Landrover and Heartsbane
• The current series leader – Cornish
• The top placed local coach – Everybodys_Dead_Dave
• Loyalty award for the only coach outside the above to have made all 4 events - Alatos
The cards will be yours to keep . . . but the production of them has meant the final event is a little more expensive than those that have gone before.
BB7 Changes
BB7 is virtually identical to regular BB but for a few important changes, most of these are mostly around the set up and kick off.
• There are 6 turns per half, not 8
• Each team can set up no more than 7 players on the pitch at one time
• Each coach sets their players up behind their own scrimmage line – there are 2 on the board! Teams must still put 3 on the scrimmage line and a maximum of 1 player per wide zone
• The ball at kick off can be aimed anywhere on the board other than behind the kicking teams scrimmage line – this includes the no mans zone in the middle.
• When kicking roll a D8 and 2D6, choose the lower number of the D6 and scatter the ball that number of squares
Awards
There are a lot of certificates of achievement for something or other on offer. This includes –
• Winner
• Runner Up
• Most TDs
• Most Casualties
• 7th place at 7s!
• Stunty Cup
• Wooden Spoon |
