Information
IOWBBL Speedbowl returns with a special one evening event for 1000TV teams, with quicker games, and 3 matches in one evening for some beer-fuelled Blood Bowl shenanigans! This time with extra spooky flavour...

Same core rules as before as follows -

You must have a NAF ID to enter, £5 entry fee as last time

· Matches will be the usual 8 turns per half, but there is a 2 minute turn rule!

· All teams will play 3 matches during the evening, match-ups to be randomly determined after each round of matches completed.

· The event will use the current 2016 edition rules.

· The event is open to all the regular 24 races (plus the newly approved Khorne & Brettonia teams), to a maximum TV of 1000k.

Star players can be taken if teams have 11 regular players

. Speedbowl is a resurrection tournament with all injured players returning for the next game.

. Teams can allocate one normal skill to one player before game 1, they may allocate one skill to another player before game 2 and a one to a third player before game 3. This must be represented with a skill ring. No player may be allocated more than one skill. Stunty teams can take 2 normal skills each game, or one double skill.

· Inducements may be taken as normal, but special play cards cannot be taken as inducements.

Scoring

• Win a game: 3 points

• Draw a game: 1 points

• Lose a game: 0 points

In event of tie points, tie breakers are (in order), TD diff, CAS diff, TD scored, CAS scored, penalty shootout (3 block dice roll off)

In addition as Halloween has just occurred three spooky stunty stars have hung around and want to get in on the action! Before each round the stunty stars decide to turn out for one the participating teams, and a randomly allocated coach gets to use them for that round! No coach can have more than one of these stars in the same round, and the extra player can take the team above 16 players. Models for the three stars will be provided. Stats as follows -

Jack Pumpkinhead
MA 6
ST 2
AG 3
AV 7
Skills - loner, stunty, dodge, block, right stuff, fend, dauntless

Stripe the Gremlin

ST 2
AG 3
AV 6

Ho’Kus Po’Kus

AV 5
Skills - loner, disturbing presence, no hands, stunty, dodge, right stuff, sidestep, spellbook*

*a friendly player in base contact can read a spell from Ho’Kus rather than taking an action. Only one player can perform such an action per turn. Make an Unmodified AG role, if successful the spell goes off. Select either the fireball or lightning bolt spell as per a normal wizard (with normal rules as per death zone book). After a spell is successfully activated Ho’Kus vanishes in a puff of smoke and is removed as a casualty

There will be a trophy for the winner, and prizes for the top three teams! Plus a trophy for the top stunty team!

Event to be held at The Castle, Fitzroy Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight on the evening of Saturday Nov 9th 2019. Doors 6pm for a 7pm kick off as usual The venue is close to Sandown train station which links directly to Ryde/Portsmouth ferry.
