Information
Tired... broken... finished... it could be time to hang up the boots, sit back with a well earned barrel of ale, and watch the younger generation from the side lines. But a final windfall paycheque for one last hurrah has proven too good to turn down for some of the most decorated players to have survived a career in Blood Bowl. Organised into all-star teams, these players have been convinced to wave goodbye to their adoring fans the only way they know how... by providing more Blood Bowl carnage!

~

The Tournament of the Elite is a one day Blood Bowl tournament which will take place in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire on Saturday 21st March 2020. Food:

To keep the cost of entry down, lunch is not included in the ticket price. There are a multitude of cafe's etc. within just a few minutes of the store.

Rules:

The Tournament of the Elite will use the NAF CRP, with the following caveats:

+ Any roster updates published by Games Workshop before midnight, March 13th 2020 will be implemented.
+ Any star players published by Games Workshop before midnight, March 13th 2020 will be authorized.
+ Khorne, Bretonnians and Slann/Kislev Circus are permitted.

(Needless to say the tournament will not utilize any special stadiums or referee rules).

Team Building:

1,200,000 gold pieces allowance

Grak and Crumbleberry are prohibited. A maximum of two star players may be induced but only after 11 rostered players have been picked as normal.

The only inducements permitted are team wizards, bribes, halfling master chefs and bloodweiser kegs. (Bribes and halfling master chefs may be induced by anyone at the appropriate cost).

Skills package:

This is a one-off pay day for some of the most skilled and experienced Blood Bowl players in the land!

A maximum of two skills may be “stacked” onto the same player with no penalty.

Further skills (up to a maximum of five) may be stacked ONLY if a NEGATIVE stat is also given to said player for EACH additional skill. (And it must be a different selection from the list below each time) This can be:

- Player gains "Loner"
- Minus 1 AV
- Minus 1 MV
- Minus 1 ST
- Minus 1 AG
- Player gains "Niggling Injury"

A player may not select a negative modifier that would reduce a stat line to 0 (i.e. a Snotling cannot take -1 ST). Or, take Loner if they already have it.

This is to represent the hard knocks a Blood Bowl player must take through their career in order to become so well established!

This may be any combination of skills and there are no restrictions on the amount of duplicate skills (i.e. you can take 6 block Saurus if you want).

Tier 1:
Tier 1 teams may select 5 “normal” skills and 2 "double" skills.
Wood Elf, Undead, Lizardmen, Dwarf, Orcs, Dark Elf, Norse, Amazon, Necromantic, Skaven, Chaos Dwarves, Brettonians

Tier 2:
Tier 2 teams may select 8 “normal” skills and 2 “double” skill.
Humans, Nurgle, High Elf, Elf Union, Slann, Chaos Pact, Khemri, Chaos, Khorne, Underworld

Tier 3:
Tier 3 teams may select 6 “normal” skills and 4 “double” skills.
Halflings, Ogres, Goblins, Vampires

EXAMPLE - I take a Dwarf Longbeard and max out his skills. I give him Guard and Mighty Blow for his first two skills, then Piling On, Jump Up and Stand Firm to max him out at five skills. The cost of giving him Piling On, Jump Up and Stand Firm is that he has -1 AG, -1 AV and a Niggling Injury.

All teams must be painted with at least 3 colours and be comprised of appropriate fantasy miniatures which reflect the positionals they are intended to represent.

What You Need:

A painted team (minimum 3 colours)
Board and dugout
Dice
Templates
2 x printed rosters

Scoring:

2 Points for a win
1 Point for a draw
0 Points for a loss

Tie breaking system will take into account net touchdowns followed by net casualties.
In the event of a complete tie the winner will be determined by head to head record.
In the freakish event two coaches did not play each other and cannot be separated they will be forced to play each other for eternity until the extinction of mankind and a vortex swallows the earth.

Or dice off.
