It's wintertime in the Pacific Northwest, the days are short and the skies are grey, but don't despair, here's a ray of Blood Bowl Sevens shaped fun to lift your spirits! Four games of possibly the most fun version of Blood Bowl that exists, with a few twists that make it just like a day at the beach. During an English summer.
Play 5 games for the low low price of $15 (if you're a NAF member) or $20 (if you aren't a NAF member). With few rerolls and no skills, we expect to see a fast paced game of Blood Bowl. First game starts at 9:30, each game runs for 1 hour and 10 minutes, prize giving at 5pm
The tournament will use a format very similar to the rules of Blood Bowl Sevens as defined by NAF ( http://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/NAF_BB7s.pdf ) but with customised weather and kick off events, plus a few extra twists...
There will be prizes in the following categories:
Overall winner
Most touchdowns
Most casualties
Best stunty
Teams: 600 TV. Rerolls cost double their normal price. No additional skills or star players. The only inducements available are:

Ice Cream (0-1, 100TV)
Any of the 26 NAF approved races can be selected.

LIghting up a gloomy day in the Pacific North West, eight coaches attended the inaugural Sevens At The Seaside in the palatial surroundings of the Evergreen Lanes Bowling Lanes and Banqueting Hall.
Initial weather was wet and rainy, with scattered sprays of sewage and bright sunshine. Rats made an early strong showing but suffered later on, as constant noise from the pitchside carnival led to distraction for almost an entire game, sending them on a downwards course. A strong showing from the Norse-like blocking abilities of the Orcs drove them high up the casualty rankings, but the elf teams were in contention, going down to a final round where at least 3 teams could ahve taken first place...
For future iterations, fouling needs to be less risky (probably best to use Lord Borak's variation) and as no teams purchased ice cream, perhaps they need to be cheaper. The rampaging donkey killed at least one player - perhaps it should be equipped with both Claws and Mighty Blow next time around. |
