Information
--- RESCHEDULED (again) ---

As of May 29, new COVID-19 regulations in Quebec now make the holding of this mini-tournament possible. On June 15, indoor gatherings - including Blood Bowl tournaments - will be permitted. Please keep monitoring the information on this tournament if there is a reversal in COVID incidence over the coming weeks.

Our hosts Boutique Frères de Bataille will be offering -25% off all Blood Bowl merchandise to tournament participants on the day of the event.

This mini-tournament was meant to be a warm-up event for the 2021 AMORICAL Cup, allowing coaches to test their team builds. However, the new BB2020 rules have put the state of tiers for teams into flux. This THERE ARE NO SET TIERS for this tournament.

Coaches have 1,100,000 GP to create their starting team rosters. The tournament is resurrection, meaning no injuries or deaths during games carry over into the next game.

Team rosters must consist of at least 11 players. Star Players do not count toward this total. If opposing teams have the same Star Player, both may be used.

All teams are allowed to take the following inducements:

BB2020 Star Players
Bribes
Sideline Staff, with the exception of Wizards

Up to 5 primary skills may be chosen as part of your 1.1 million budget (20,000 each). Any given player may only receive one such skill.

All skills are assigned before the tournament begins (i.e. no progression) and should be reflected on team rosters.

There is no limit on skill incidence. Dwarves can have 5 Guards and Lizardmen can have 5 Blocks.

The first round of games will be determined by random draw. Subsequent rounds will follow the "Swiss" model, with the team with the most points playing the team with the second most points, and so on.

Points will be allocated as follow:
Win = 60 points
Draw = 25 points
Each Star Player Point earned per team player = 1 point

The NAF originally sanctioned the following special rule to add fluff/flavour to the event. Given the lateness of re-starting the event, coaches are not obliged to use the rule but if both wish to try it out, it is as follows:

Autumn is the time of the harvest and thus of feasting, especially in lands that play Blood Bowl. But the harvest attracts beasts that feed off the corn and grains that ripen, as well as drawing carrion that feed of fallen Blood Bowl players!

The Corvid Cup uses the Autumn Weather Table found in Spike #6. If the weather is "Temperate", the Crow may appear. Should a roll on the Kick-off Table result in "Changing Weather" and the weather stays "Temperate", the day is so nice it attracts the Crow. This is the "Feast of Crows" event. In addition to scattering the ball an extra square, the Crow appears on the trap door in the receiving team's half.

The receiving team may use the Crow like a normal player for this drive, albeit an additional one (the Referee does not consider the Crow as counting towards the limit of 11 players on the pitch). The Crow may move through occupied squares (representing flight) but must come to rest on pitch like a normal player. Once on the ground, the Crow must dodge to escape a tackle zone whenever using its movement. The Crow is "Afraid" of the Scarecrow and will never approach within 3 squares of its Undead adversary. Additionally, it will attract the Scarecrow (see Get the Crow). The Crow specializes in pecking the flesh off fallen Blood Bowl players and must make a foul action if possible. If a referee notices the foul, they will assume a player was responsible and punish the closest friendly player to the Crow. If there is more than one player equidistant from the Crow, roll randomly between them. This foul action is free and can be made in addition to a team's regular foul action.

The arrival of the Crow triggers ancient magicks of people who hated these birds that flocked to consume their harvest and ate their dead. If the Crow appears, the Scarecrow will appear in an empty square on the defensive line-of-scrimmage as close as possible to the Crow and with line-of-sight to its adversary. The defensive team may use the Scarecrow like a normal player, albeit an additional one (the Referee does not consider the Scarecrow as counting towards the limits of either 11 players on the pitch or 2 players in a wide zone). It exists to repell the Crow and will "Get the Crow" if possible. "Get the Crow" obliges the Scarecrow to use its movement to get as close to the Crow as possible, though it is not obliged to Go-For-It. This condition does not apply if it begins its movement phase in a tackle zone or if it enters a tackle zone. It may use a blitz action to draw closer to the Crow. If it draws to within 3 squares of the Crow, the Crow must use the beginning of its next movement phase to move directly away from the Scarecrow. Once it has withdrawn out of the range of the Scarecrow's Disturbing Presence, the Crow may use its remaining movement to go where it likes. If the Crow is injured, a subsequent Feast of Crows result will generate a new Crow. The Scarecrow does not disappear if the Crow is injured, but it will automatically take root and will continue to play for the defensive team until the end of the drive.
