Xmas with CTHULHU has returned and this year the enigmatic KING in YELLOW has set the rules of engagement. This is NOT a RESURRECTION Blood Bowl Tournament it will be an ATTRITION STYLE EVENT. The KING in YELLOW demands ATTRITION and ALL Blood Bowl Coaches must pay his price.
Registration will be $10.00 with costs going towards Tournament Swag, Tourplay Costs and a Trophy for the Tournament Champion.
830AM: Entry/Pre-Game Nonsense
9AM - 1130AM: Round One
11:30AM-2:00PM: Round Two

We will be using TOURPLAY for this event and all three rounds will be run like a league event. Xmas with Cthulhu will feature a build format: 1,100,000 gold crowns for your roster + a pool of 70 SPP for skills. This will NOT be a resurrection style tournament but an ATTRITION STYLE EVENT where injuries will carry over (no reset) and DEAD will remain DEAD. During each match, you will be able to earn SPPs and GOLD to possibly improve those players who SURVIVE each match or buy new ones if they do NOT survive.
• No player may have more than two Skills
• No skill may be taken more than four times
• Only ONE Star Player can be induced per team
• Infamous Coaching Staff, Biased Ref and Wizards are allowed as Inducements
• Random 3 Candidates for MVP
• The Highlander rule will NOT be in effect
*Weather will be the COASTAL WEATHER TABLE found on pg. 82 in the Death Zone Supplement
*Round 1 will be random and then Rounds 2 and 3 will be Swiss Pairings
*Illegal Procedure - In the spirit of good sportsmanship, Illegal Procedures will not be called
*Time – Each round will be 2.5 hours long to allow for time to enter all of the match data. It is also recommended that the 4 minute timer be used if coaches are falling behind (timer should be paused while entering data into Tourplay or on paper).
*Dice - You SHOULD NOT share dice with your opponent. Any dice are allowed for this event and you DO NOT have to use the Tournament Dice.
*Rosters – Since we will be using Tourplay to manage all of the match information, you will need to sign up for a Tourplay acct. I recommend that you use GMAIL to do so. Once you sign up, a REGISTRATION link will be provided in order to get your NEWLY CREATED team registered for the event. If things go awry, a league tracker paper form will be provided to each coach for each round.
TOURNAMENT POINTS: 30 WIN, 15 DRAW, 5 LOSS, -10 CONCESSION
Bonus Points: +2 for Victory by Difference 2 TD, +2 Score 3+ TDs, +2 Cause 3+ CAS
*TIE BREAKERS: TD Difference followed by CAS Difference
*BONUS WINNINGS of 5k for Each DEATH caused |
