Information
Power Bowl is a not for profit tournament. All funds raised through the tournament will be donated to the Victorian Blood Bowl Association, to be reinvested in the Victorian Blood Bowl community.
The dwarves of Barak Varr crave more Blood Bowl. There is only one problem, they have run out of players! To address this inconvenience they have dug deep into their treasury, inviting teams from all over the world to attend a new tournament.

Team building rules
The latest guidelines for all NAF tournaments, Games Workshop’s most recent Designer’s Commentary, Teams of Legend documents and other publications released by Games Workshop (such as any new Spike! Magazine) apply.
All teams have a budget of 1,250,000 gold pieces. Teams may purchase star players, skills and inducement from this budget. All inducements listed in the Blood Bowl 2020 rulebook are permitted. Players may also purchase special play cards, which will be randomly drawn prior to each game from the standard special card deck (provided by the tournament). Note that during the pre-match sequence no extra gold pieces are awarded for teams with a lower team value.
All teams may take 1 star player in accordance with their team special rules after rostering 11 regular players. The exception to this star player combos – i.e. Grak and Crumbleberry or Lucien and Valen Swift – which may be purchased by tier 1-2 teams if allowed under that team's special rules. Goblin, Halfling, Ogre and Snotling teams may take 2 star players. Eligible Star Players are those in Blood Bowl: Second Season - the Official Rules and released in Spike! Issue 11 onwards. The Highlander rule applies – if both teams have the same star player(s) neither team may field the star player(s).
Teams may purchase skills from their team budget. As per the official rules, primary skills are worth 20,000gp and secondary skills are worth 40,000gp. Each player may be given only one additional skill. A single skill may only be taken twice (i.e. you can only purchase 2 guard). Statistic improvements may not be taken.
Tournament Rules
All rosters are due to be submitted to andrew.m.ley@gmail.com before 12 noon on 20 May. Rosters must include:
your NAF name and number
all calculations of team cost
team race, the additional skills selected and the players that those skills are allocated to.
All coaches must still bring a copy of their team roster with them to the event, to be shared with each opponent during and made available to the event organisers or any other opponent upon request
When your game is complete you need to fill out a results slip. Please include your touchdowns, casualties and whether you completed a special mission. Then double-check the input. Both coaches are responsible for the results slip.
Only record casualties that would give Star Player Points, i.e. don’t record casualties caused by fouls, crowd pushes, failed dodges.
Round 1 match-ups will be randomly drawn. In subsequent rounds, match ups will be determined using a ‘Swiss pairing’ system.
After each round tournament points will be awarded as follows:
Win: 5 points
Draw: 2 points
Loss: 0 points
(Complete special mission 1 point)
Special missions
No self respecting blood bowl team would ever lose a game. However, the Dwarves of Barak Varr often seek to influence the outcomes of games for their own reasons like settling old scores, winning side-bets or entertaining the fans.
Coaches are given one special mission card prior to each game. These special missions are as per the table below. Coaches that successfully complete their special mission are rewarded with a bonus tournament point. Special mission cards will be dealt prior to each game. Special mission cards may not be revealed until a game is over.
