Information
Welcome to Super Saturday Blood Bowl Cup, put on by the Halifax Blood Bowl Federation and hosted at Games Workshop in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This pack should have all the rules for the tournament but if you have any questions don't hesitate to email halifaxbloodbowl@gmail.com for any clarifications or to point out any omissions.

Tournament Rules

- 3 Games with Swiss Style Pairings.
- All Blood Bowl Second Season (2020) Rules in place
- All Star Players published up to the start of the tournament are available to use
- All teams are eligible to be used from the BB 2020 rule book, spike magazines and Teams of Legend are eligible, as well as the NAF rules for the Slann team is available.
- All miniatures used must be from Games Workshop.
- This is a resurrection style tournament, after each match injuries are restored and no SPPs are earned while you play.
- Teams have 1.15 Million gold piece to buy their starting roster
- Star Players may be purchased for your roster, after you have hired 11 regular players.
- Both teams may use the same star player
- No skill upgrades may be purchased, instead skills can be assigned after team creation
- No inducements may be bought by any team, with the following exceptions:
- Goblin teams may purchase 0-3 Bribes at 50,000 gp per Bribe
- Halfling teams may purchase a Master Chef for 100,000 gp
- Snotling teams may purchase Riotous Rookies for 100,000 gp. The roll for this inducement must be done at the start of each game.

Skills

Teams are broken up into five tiers (note these tiers are different than whats listed in the BB Rule Book):

Tier 1: Chaos Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Humans, Lizardmen, Orcs, Undead, Wood Elves
Tier 2: Amazon, Elven Union, High Elves, Necromantic Horror, Norse, Skaven, Slann, Underworld Denizens
Tier 3: Black Orcs, Chaos Chosen, Imperial Nobility, Khorn, Nurgle, Tomb Kings
Tier 4: Chaos Renegades, Old World Alliance, Vampires
Tier 5: Halfling, Goblins, Ogres, Snotlings

Tteams are given skill points based on their Tier which are used to add skills to players on the roster. A primary skill costs one skill point and a secondary skill costs 2 skill points to add to a player. Star Players may not be given any extra skills

Tier 1: 3 Skill Points
Tier 2: 4 Skill Points
Tier 3: 5 Skill Points
Tier 4: 6 Skill Points
Tier 5: 7 Skill Points


Scoring

30 Points for a win, 15 point for a draw, 0 points for a loss
Bonus points are awarded for the following each game:
Keeping it Close – losing a match by only 1 TD – 10 points
Blow Out Bonus – Winning a match by 2+ TD – 5 points
Casualty Bonus – Inflicting 2+ Casualties on your opponent – 10 points
A fully painted and based team will also earn 10 points

The team with the most points after the three rounds will be named the Tournament Champion.

In case of a tie breaker, the following criteria will be used:
Most Touchdowns Scored
Most Casualties Scored
Touchdown Differential
Casualty Differential
Coin Toss/Die Roll

To register for the tournament sign up in store at Games Workshop Halifax, or email halifaxbloodbowl@gmail.com. There isn't a limit on teams yet but if we start to get a lot of sign ups we may need to cap the teams.

What To Bring

Your team and three copies of your teams sheet (one for you, one for the Tournament Organizer and one for your opponent to use as reference
Dice, Boards, Dugouts, Templates, Pen/Pencil, Rules etc. We'll have some extras of these available as well but it doesn't hurt to have your own on hand.

10:00 am -10:30 am – Store Opens/Registration
10:30 am – 12:30 pm – Round 1
12:30 pm – 1:30 pm – Lunch Break
1:30 pm – 3:30 pm – Round 2
3:30 pm – 4:00 pm – Break
4:00 pm – 6:00 pm – Round 3
6:00 pm – 6:30 pm – Wrap Up/Awards etc
