Tournament Report
On Father's Day, 12 Coaches found their way to Lindau at beautiful Lake Constance. Coaches from Munich, Zurich and Stuttgart, incl. 2 American coaches made it somewhat international.

The event was planned to be an open-air event, but the unpredictable weather made me organize a tent, which was a good idea, otherwise the coaches would have end up with a big sunburn. Grilling and games started at 10 a.m. with me serving the coaches Wisconsin style burgers and beer (and water) during the games. There were special events happening in each round.

The first round had the "Sea-quake" event, which came into effect instead of the weather change to nice weather at a kick-off. Some coaches (Ogre and Khemri) complained that they had nobody to hit anymore, some were happy (Dark Elves and Goblins) to escape from the beating.

The second round awarded the top 6 teams with a cheeleader-babe. This CB could either act like a cheerleader when chearing fans are rolled or being used as a Bloodweiser Babe. But once a roll had been picked, it sticked to it for the rest of the game. I believe most coaches used her as a Babe.

The third round had the most complex, most luck-based and mind-boggling event: "Tough Ref!" Whenever a player got caught fouling and/or a bribe did not work (as well as a dirty weapon ban), the opposing coach got a point. To give a little incentive every Game started with the "Get the Ref" kick-off-event. It was not a surprise that an Underworld team got the award while playing against a goblin team, despite the fact that the Khemri team made 10 fouls (only 1 being effectivly caught) at another table (against a Chaos Dwarf team -shock-).

The fourth round was the classical "Most Double Skulls". To my surprise only 3 coaches rolled a double skull that round, with my brother rolling two and therefore winning the award. Next year this event will be played over the whole tourney.

At the end we had Strider84 from Switzerland win the tourney with Humans. We had three teams on second place (Ogres, Amazons ans Undead) with the exact amount of points and a secondary tie-breaker had to be used to differentiate the placement.

Jokaero won the Best Stunty Award with Ogres and Milo won the Best Player Award with a Gutter Runner, who scored 4 TD in the final games (after going completely scoreless in round 2 and 3 with Skaven!!). All SPP-relevant actions had to be tracked. Rolo and his Khemri won the Most Kills Award.

Overall, I believe, the event was a fun one and all coaches went home happy and well fed. So the plans are already made for next year with slightly tweaking the rules and three new events for the round.

Happy Father's Day
