Basic Details
Event Name: The Bacon Star Bowl
Place: Battlegrounds in Midlothian, Virginia (see "Store Information" below for address, phone number and web address)

Entrance Fee: $20
Non-NAF members will need $5 for NAF membership.
RULES
1. The Bacon Star Bowl will use the current ruleset as stated by the NAF (http://www.thenaf.net/2016/12/naf-rules-from-1st-feb-17/) with the following exceptions and/or amendments:
2. The Illegal Procedure rule will not be in use, nor is the 4-minute “timer” rule. However, you may be given a certain amount of time to complete your game should you be running late, and you may request a timer at any time.
3. The Bacon Star Bowl was created to bring in more money and fame by only allowing teams with a star player on their roster! Everyone loves to watch star players and so the stadiums will be filled to capacity with avid fans and famous grilled bacon-wrapped hot dogs brought to you by RABBL!
4. B.E.A.S.T. tournaments have all replaced “Throw a Rock” rule on the kickoff table with “Throw a Bomb”. This is because Bombcast is our sponsor and they thought it would be funny to hand out a complimentary bomb to a fan. Should “Throw a Bomb” be rolled, the determination of who gets the bomb thrown at them will still follow the dice roll and fame modifier under “Throw a Rock” rule. The bomb is also thrown accurately.
Reminder: It is up to the TO’s discretion on any ruling or questions concerning rules. If you disagree with this, please put on your own tournament.
What Each Participant Must Bring
* 2 copies of their team roster (see “Roster Creation” below)
* Block Dice, d8 and 2d6s
* Models representing their team and players. Each player must be numbered or easily differentiated
* Pen or pencil
* A pitch and dug outs (not required, but if you have a pitch/dug outs please bring them with you to ensure we have enough!)
• (not required unless you want the trophy) Bring some homemade food or sides- bonus for a bacon theme and you do not have to have been the one to make it!

Team Build
• Refer to the Team Selection for the treasury given to build your specific team and what skills are allotted. Understand that this is Bacon Star Bowl, so all teams must have 1-2 Star Players on their team.
• Inducements are not allowed, with the exception of Tier C and tier D teams, which may purchase Bribes, a Halfling Master Chef, and Star Players. All prices are the same as in the Inducements section of the CRP rule set.
• Each player may receive no more than 2 added skills. Each of those can be a regular or double skill.
• There is no limit on skill incidence. Dwarves can have 4 Guards and Lizardmen can have 4 Blocks.
• Please note that Nurgle’s Rotters, Underworld, Vampires, Goblins, Halflings, and Ogres are the only teams who have access to Bribes and Halfling Master Chef. Big guys can only get doubles if they play for Goblins, Halflings, or Ogres. No other inducements may be taken.
• Normal resurrection rules are in effect, meaning that SPPs are not recorded and injuries do not carry over between games.
• Player improvements are not counted towards Team Value, so in effect Team Value is fixed for all rosters and therefore of no impact.
• The 21 “official teams,” as well as Chaos Pact, Slann, and Underworld teams are allowed. Brettonian, Simyan, Human Nobility, Savage Orcs, and Daemons of Khorne are not included. And Druids, too. They’re not invited except as fans.
• Star players will be used from LRB 6, Death Zone 1, Death Zone 2, and Teams of Legend
• All teams that have been revised will be accepted; e.g. Doom Diver and ‘Ooligan for Goblins, Orc Renegade for Chaos Renegades, etc. If you do not have proper models for these, make sure there are marked in some way for easy identification.
• There is a bonus for coming in “under budget”! You can use any remaining money to purchase your team into buying your star player or buying another one! Just note it on the roster.
Pairing and Scoring
Opponents will be selected randomly for Round 1. Rounds 2 and 3 will be selected using the system of Swiss pairing (most points vs. most points, lowest points vs. lowest points, etc.).
+20 points for each win
+10 points for each draw
0 points for each loss
+ 1 point for each touchdown scored
+ 1 point per casualty (Only those that would normally result in SPPs, fouling, by secret weapon, or by Star Player)
Painting Award
In addition, the following points will be awarded after the second round of play, based on the appearance of each coach's team (judged by tournament organizer). Please note that these points only apply to the Best Appearance award, not the tournament overall score.
* Painted, +1 Point: The models are each covered with paint of some type, with no bare metal or plastic visible.
* Detailed, Up to +3 Points: 1 point for table top quality, 2 points for above table top quality, 3 points for "true artistry"
* Numbered, +1 Point: All of the team's players are clearly numbered.
* Distinctive, +1 Point: All of the positional players may be easily determined (following explanation, if necessary).
* Star Player model, Up to +3 points: Scoring will be based on the above rules for "Detailed.” Must look like a Blood Bowl Star Player! This is entirely subjective and will be judged by the TO.
* Unpainted teams are allowed, but it will make us sad.
