The tournament will use a format very similar to the rules of the NAF World Cup ( http://www.nafworldcup.sbbm-turniere.com/EN/WC4Rules.html ) but with some small changes.
Team building:
Each team must cost at least 1,100,000 gold pieces, excluding the additional skills or stats. A team can include the following:
- Rerolls.
- Assistant coaches.
- Cheerleaders.
- Apothecary or Igor.
- Fan Factor.
- The following inducements (chosen before the tournament and used in all rounds)):
- 0-2 Bloodweiser Kegs (50,000 gold pieces each).
- 0-3 Bribes (50,000 gold pieces each for Goblins, 100,000 gold pieces for other teams).
- 0-1 Masterchef (100,000 gold pieces for Halflings, 300,000 gold pieces for other teams).

Additional skills:
Additional skills are chosen before the tournament and are constant through all the rounds. The rules for additional skills are:
Star players can’t receive any additional skills or stats.
Normal skills cost 20,000 gold pieces.
Double skills cost 30,000 gold pieces.
Tier 1, 2 or 3 teams can only use one double skill. Tier 4 teams have no limit on the number of double skills.
One - just one - player per team may get two additional skills. Both skills must be normal skills, and the second skill will cost 30,000 gold pieces. All other players on the team may only take one additional skill.
Tier 4 teams may buy a single stat upgrade. The stat upgrade follows these rules:
The receiving player may not have any additional skill.
MA or AV upgrades cost 40,000 gold pieces.
AG upgrades cost 50,000 gold pieces.
ST upgrades cost 60,000 gold pieces.
Tiebreakers:
Result between the tied teams.
Difference between TDs and Casualties done and received (TDs Done + CAS Done - TDs suffered - CAS suffered).
Team with the lowest Team Value.
As a last resort, the tied players will do a D6 roll.
Clock management:
Each round will last up to 180 minutes. Each player has a play clock of 80 minutes, to use for all his/hers actions during turns and kickoffs. Each player is responsible for providing a timekeeping device (stopwatch, phone app, etc) that clearly displays the remaining time on the player’s clock.
If a player runs out of time, he won’t be make any voluntary actions. For instance, he may not attempt interceptions, but will still roll armour and injury rolls if the opponent knocks a player.
What players need to bring to the tournament:
- Team and a ball (painting is mandatory).
- All the necessary dices.
- Stopwatch, chronometer or similar item.
No need to bring a pitch, or a printed roster, as those will be provided by the organization to use during the tournament.
Entry cost and prizes:
Entry cost: 15 Euros.
Prizes: Trophy or commemorative framed diploma for first place finish and the winner of the painting competition. We will also raffle out Blood bowl related items. |
