General Information

Entry Fee
Entry will be £15 for NAF members ONLY. Non-NAF members can sign up to NAF before the tournament online for $10 at https://www.thenaf.net/members-area/join-the-naf/. Being a NAF member is great: it helps you track your record at tournaments over time and helps you stay up-to-date on what’s going on in the Blood Bowl world. NAF membership is necessary to play in the tournament.

Please send £15 payment via PayPal to gashton3000@hotmail.com. Could you select the 'gift' or 'paying a friend' option so we don't lose out on fees please? Please make sure to include your NAF name and number. Please note that I won’t be able to give refunds if you can’t make it. However I will assist you to sell on your ticket if I can.

Charity
Any and all profits will be donated to Banbury Young Homelessness Project. https://www.byhp.org.uk/about-us.html

Charity Bucket
I would also like to take the opportunity to make you aware of the Charity Bucket that will be at the tournament. For a minimum donation of £1 you can purchase a token that may be used once during game 1 or 2 to re-roll a Team Re-roll*. An additional Token may also be purchased for use in either game 3 or 4. All proceeds from the bucket will be added to any profits from the event and donated to Banbury Young Homelessness Project.
*Team re-roll for the purpose of the tournament are any re-rolls purchased during team creation, gained via the Master Chef or through a Kick off result. This does not apply to skill rolls or leader rerolls. Charity rerolls used to reroll team rerolls used on 'Loners' must still pass a Loner test to be used.

Rules

We will be using the current BB 2016 rules. Halfling teams may be selected from the new Halfling Roster.

The Illegal Procedure and 4-minute time limit rules will not be enforced, though you may use them if both coaches agree. There will be a time limit (2 hrs) for games as a whole though, so if you play slowly we may be forced to use a clock or have a result called early.

We will be using the standard "Resurrection" rules: teams remain identical from game to game, with casualties, winnings, fan factor rolls etc. not carrying forward.

Undead or Nurgle teams may not keep 'raised' players from game to game.

Team Selection
Coaches may spend up to 1,150,000 gold crowns on their teams.

No Inducements are allowed. An exception to this rule are the stunty teams of Halfling, Goblins, Lizardmen (no Saurus),Ogres and Underworld Denizens (no Skaven) teams, who alone may hire up to two Star Players as normal. Stars can be part of the 11-man roster. Stars that have appeared in any GW publication are allowed (including CRP). In addition to this Goblins and Underworld may hire bribes and Halflings can hire a MasterChef.

If a coach spends less than the 1.15m he will not be entitled to Inducements on a game by game basis.

Skills

The number of skills awarded will be determined by team type.

TIER 1 Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
TIER 2 Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elf Union, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Necromantic, Nurgle, Underworld, Slann, Bretonnian, Khorne
TIER 3 Halfling, Goblin, Ogre, Vampire, Lizardmen (no Saurus), Underworld (no Skaven)

TIER 1 = 5 normal skills
TIER 2 = 5 normal skills and 1 double
TIER 3 = 6 normal skills and 1 double

No stacking of skills (i.e. no one player can ever have more than one skill) and stars cannot have skills added

Games and Scoring

The first round will be drawn randomly, with all further rounds using the Swiss system. The overall winner will be the coach with the most points at the end of the day - there will be no final.

Points are scored as follows:

30 points for a win.
10 points for a draw.
0 points for a loss
3 points per TD up to a maximum of 3 TD
2 points per casualty up to a maximum of 3 casualties
-1 point for conceding/tableflips

Only casualties caused by your players count towards CAS score. Opponent casualties caused by failed dodges, crowd interference, team mate on team mate action (i.e. vamps biting thralls, trolls eating, trolls or treemen throwing, etc) do not count towards your CAS score. Think of it as only casulaties you could claim SPP for.
