The Urban Mill Blood Bowl Open is a 6-round NAF-sanctioned Blood Bowl tournament and it takes places in the Urban Mill which is, to quote themselves, ”...a space, a community and a service situated in at the heart of Aalto University campus in Espoo Innovation Garden, Finland.”

Quick FAQ

WHERE?
Urban Mill
Betonimiehenkuja 3 E
02150 Espoo, Finland

WHEN?
Saturday 18.5. and Sunday 19.5.

FOR WHOM?
For everyone familiar with the rules of Blood Bowl and interest in playing a 6-round tournament over two days. While the tournament will be NAF-sanctioned, everyone is more than welcome!

WHAT ARE THE RULES?
The tournament will use the Dornbirn NAF World Cup 2019 rules, modified to fit a single player 6-round tournament (instead of obtaining extra skills gold after every 3 rounds, you get the extra gold after every 2 rounds):
Day 1 = games 1 & 2
Day 2 = games 3 & 4
Day 3 = games 5 & 6

The Days 1 - 3 refer to the extra skill cash given in the rules found in the link below, not the actual days we are playing. This is only written to clarify the difference to the actual World Cup rules where the length of one "day" is three rounds, as to in Urban Mill it will be two rounds.

No team points: Each win will be worth 3 points to the single coach, 1 point for a tie and 0 points for a loss. Tiebreakers are NET CAS / NET TD / TOTAL CAS. First round pairing will be fully random and the following rounds will be in Swiss.

See details for roster building and other rules here: http://www.nafworldcup.sbbm-turniere.com/ (home → rules)

CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD AND DRINKS?
Definitely, and it is most encouraged! There is a fridge and a microwave oven for the participants to use freely.

IS IT FINE TO HAVE ALCOHOLIC DRINKS WITH ME?
Yes! The fridge is first most reserved for food so we cannot guarantee a chilled storage for any drinks, so grab your coolers on the go if you want to play it safe! Do note that if your behaviour is disruptive to other participants and still goes on after a warning, we reserve the rights to remove any such person from the premises.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME?
- A roster sheet for your team with the planned extra skills for each ”day”
- A matching Blood Bowl team you intend to play with
- Dice, a Pass Range Template, a Ball, counters for turns/rerolls. A rulebook is a bonus but not mandatory. If you have a pitch + dugouts please bring them with you if possible, can never have too many of those!
- Liquid and/or solid sustenance. It’s a long day, keep yourself fed and hydrated!

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST ME?
The entry fee is 25€ which will cover the venue’s rent and the glittering tournament prizes. The entry fee should be paid by 12.5. - please see below for payment information. If you missed the deadline and want to tag along on the last minute, please contact jussi.blom(at)yahoo.com, it can most likely be arranged.

SHOULD A CANCELLATION OCCUR, THE ENTRY FEE IS REFUNDABLE UNTIL THE DEADLINE ON 12.5.

WHERE SHOULD I SIGN UP?
Please contact Jussi Blomqvist for signing up at jussi.blom(at)yahoo.com or via Facebook Messenger. You’ll be contacted with the payment information.
