• Your team (painting guidelines below under "Tournament Scoring").

• Pen or pencil.

• (If you can)- anything food-wise except for what can be grilled on the grill. We will also supply condiments and supplies. There will be a Halfling Chef Award for the best homemade food brought- and it can be won by a wife, husband, girl/boyfriend, family member, or friend!

WHAT YOU GET

TEAM CREATION

o Tournament teams may be purchased using 1,150,000 GC.

o Inducements that are allowed:
o Bloodweiser Kegs
o Master Chef
o Bribes
o Wandering Apothecaries
o 0-1 Star Players (Only for Tier D teams)

o Inducements that aren’t allowed:
o Mercenaries
o Wizards
o Special Play Cards
o Star Staffers
o Star Players (Unless you are Tier D)

o Star Players may not be chosen as a team's 11th rostered player.

o If opposing teams have the same Star Player, odds are they’re both fakes. The duplicate stars will both have -1 AV.

o Star Players from BB2020 are allowed except for Golden Era stars. If they are listed in the back of the BB2020 rulebook, you can use them.

o Teams may be selected from BB2020 or Teams of Legend, and the NAF rules for Slann and Daemons of Khorne (https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/NAF-Rules-for-Tournaments-2021.pdf), with all listed below.

o Because of the introduction of the new Improbable Burger, McMurty himself has given free burgers for every player of every team in the tournament. Apparently, and because this is Blood Bowl, there have been some obvious side effects. Most notably, players can only take secondary skills unless otherwise specified!

o Skills will be awarded depending on team type:

TIER A – Spamburger Specials - 4 Secondary skills (0 Primary)
Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardman, Norse, Orc, Undead, Wood Elf
TIER B – Big Moot Munchers - 5 Secondary skills (up to 1 Primary)
Elven Union, High Elf, Human, Imperial Nobility, Necromantic, OWA, Skaven
TIER C – MacRibby’s Masticaters - 6 Secondary skills (up to 2 Primary), big guys can have Primary skills
Black Orc, Chaos, Chaos Pact, Khorne, Nurgle, Slann, Vampire, Tomb Kings, Underworld
TIER D – Warpburger Warriors - 7 Secondary skills (up to 2 Primary), big guys can have Primary skills
Goblin, Halfling, Ogre, Snotling

These skills may be awarded freely except for the following restrictions:

• No more than two skills per player.

• The same skill may not be selected more than twice. No more than two players per team may add Guard, for instance.

• Players with ST of 5 or more may not be given normal skills unless they play for Tier C or D.

• Star Players may not be given any skills or stat increases.

TOURNAMENT RULES
BORING STUFF

The following modifications and additions will be in effect:

• Illegal Procedure will not be used.

• Coaches must clarify what they consider a “cocked” dice.

• Coaches must clarify what their consistent choice will be if a roll is made and one die falls off the table. Will they reroll both or just the die that rolled off?

• Turns will not be timed, unless a game is obviously falling behind schedule or one coach demands it. If a game is not finished within 2 hours, coaches will be given time to finish their last turn(s) and then it will be halted.

• If a game is timed, a chess clock app should be used. If one coach’s allotted time expires, he is only allowed to stand players up or turn them over from stunned to prone. These moves should be done as quickly as possible.

• Dice do not have to be shared unless either of the coaches participating in a match requests it.

• Rosters reset after every round. This means that injured players are restored to health and players gained through Raise the Dead are lost. This also means that there are no earnings or Fan Factor increases.

• External advice to coaches’ in-game is not permitted.

• If any rules disputes or other issues arise please alert a tournament official or judge so that the issue can be resolved both correctly and quickly.

• Coaches are REQUIRED to mark or highlight their players with skill rings or similar such that additional skills are clearly marked. This can be in the form of written on the base, loom bands, skills rings, etc.

• Tournament dice MUST be used during the tournament

TOURNAMENT SCORING

Swiss Pairing:
The tournament will be conducted using the Swiss method of pairing. This means that after the first round (in which pairs will be selected randomly, but with an eye toward separating coaches from the same hometown or league), coaches will play against those coaches that have performed most similarly. So the coach with the most points will play against the coach with the second most points, etc.

A coach will receive the following points, to be recorded after each round of play:

• +3 Win
• +1 Draw
• 0 Loss
• Tiebreakers (in order):

Net TDs
Net TDs + Net Casualties
Best Defense (Lowest TDs Allowed)
Tier Rank. (Lowest first)

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded for the following accomplishments:

-Champion (Stars and Sixes Award)(most tournament points)
-2nd Place (Number Two Award) (2nd most tournament points)
-Last Place (Skulls and Ones Award) (fewest tournament points)
-Stunty Cup (most points by one of the following teams:
• Halflings
• Goblins
• Ogres
• Snotlings
-Most Touchdowns
-Most Violent (Doombeard Award)
-Best Defense (Nate Beem Award)
-Most Mediocre
-Team Spirit Award (Awarded to a coach displaying noteworthy team spirit
in the form of a touchdown celebration, custom
jersey, team anthem, live cheerleaders, etc.)
-Best Halfling Chef (awarded to whomever brings the best homemade food item- as judged by the fellow contestants. The award may be given to the coach who may have had someone else make them, as long as they are homemade!)

No coach may win more than one award. Team Spirit and Best Halfling Chef will be selected by the other coaches in a voting format. Democracy at its best! These awards may be won by someone who has already won another trophy.
