Welcome to the Jungle! Deep in the steamy jungles of Lustria, we've got fun and games for you, in a kickoff Sevens event to Chaos Cup weekend's inaugural year in Orlando!
Blood Bowl Sevens is a shorter, quicker version of the sport played on a smaller pitch by players who weren’t quite good enough to make it into the big leagues.
We will be using the official Second Season 7s rules from the 2021 Death Zone, as well as that manual's pricing for inducements (no desperate measures).
IN SHORT:
- All Blood Bowl 2020 races & rosters available from the Second Season Rulebook, Teams of Legend pdf, Spike! Magazines and the 2022 Almanac, as well as the NAF-approved roster for Slann. The updated 2020 rules roster for any Spike! Magazine team is also approved for any race issued at least 45 days prior to the tourney (updates will be given if Grandma Wendy issues a new team relatively close in proximity).
- No star players are allowed
- 600,000 gp to spend on your team
- You must hire 7 and up to 11 players, and only 4 non-linemen types allowed (your 0-12 positional)
- Re-rolls cost double (they’re amateurs)
- Inducements must be bought at team creation, at the pricing provided in the Death Zone manual. No wizards, infamous coaching staff, desperate measures, or other inducements not listed in the Sevens Rules may be induced (see Death Zone p.93 for a full list of allowed inducements).

SKILLS: 1 normal/primary skill per team. Per BB20 7s rules, Leader is allowed.

2: Praise the Sun Gods - The sun beats down upon the jungle canopy, turning the air below into a furnace and turning the ground to rock! If a player Falls Over while Rushing, apply a +1 modifier to the armor roll. Additionally, apply all of the Heat Wave weather condition rules as well.
3. Heat Wave - A glorious day, but as the heat begins to rise, it becomes harder for players to push themselves. Apply a -1 modifier every time a player attempts to Rush an extra square. Players also find it hard to get motivated and get back on the pitch. Additionally, during Step 2 of the End of the Drive sequence, apply a -1 modifier when rolling to see if any player in the knocked-out box recovers.
4-10. Perfect Conditions (well, almost) - It's muggy and the mosquitos are out, but otherwise it's perfect Blood Bowl weather.
11. Jungle Showers - It's raining those big, fat jungle raindrops, making the ball slippery and difficult to hold. Apply a -1 modifier every time a player makes an Agility test to pick up or catch the ball, ro whenever a player attempts to interfere with a pass.
12. Tropical Monsoon - Sheets of rain pour through the tree canopy creating a wall of water, the ground becomes boggy and visibility is severely reduced. While the monsoon persists, only Quick pass or Short pass actions can be attempted and the number of squares a player can attempt to Rush is reduced by one (to a minimum of 1).
All games will also be played with the Sacred Egg Ball (Deathzone, p.74):
If, at the start of any of the receiving team's turns, the Sacred Egg Ball is in the possession of a player that belongs to the receiving team, the coach of the receiving team must roll a d6. On a roll of 1, the player suddenly and unwantedly finds themselves the focus of Sotek's divine attention. The strange sensation of being engulfed within the coils of a giant, constricting serpent becomes quite unbearable and the player becomes overwhelmed by a desperate urge to be rid of the ball before they are crushed and consumed by the mighty Sotek. The ball is dropped immediately, causing it to bounce. Note that this does not cause a turnover. Once the ball has come to rest, the receiving team's turn continues.

The first round of matches will be randomized. Each following round will be determined through Swiss pairings. Points are awarded as follows:

Tiebreakers are as follows: TD for, CAS for, TD differential, CAS differential, Nuffle (coin flip)

In honor of the Lustrian theme and the Sotek ball, each player will receive a Snakeman star player model as well as Chaos Cup 7s d6 dice for use in the event. There will also be Slann, Lizardmen, and Amazon spot prize giveaways.
