Team Building
All NAF teams are eligible, including the Slann team. All teams in the Rulebook, Teams of Legend from GW and Spike magazines 11 onwards.
If any new teams are added by GW before 1st May they will be allowed to play, as long as they have been added to the NAF database in time. Please do check with me if you have any questions.
Teams are built using the NAF World Cup V rules which can be found here https://www.thenaf.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/Ruleset-NWC-Alicante-2023.pdf

This is a resurrection tournament; your team will reset after match and you will play all matches using the same team.

The Draw
Round 1 will be drawn randomly with subsequent rounds following a Swiss draw.
3 points for a win, 1 for a draw, 0 for a loss.
Strength of Schedule (also known as Opponent’s Score) will be used after round 6 to get the final standings. If a tiebreaker is still needed then it will TDs scored, CAS inflicted, fewest TDs conceded, fewest CAS conceded. For this purpose any CAS that would award SPPs is counted.
We will be using Tourplay for team registration and the draw.
https://tourplay.net/en/blood-bowl/lunchmoneys-speedbowl-summer-2023
Please head over there and sign up. Please make sure your details include your NAF name and number. You can create your team whenever you like; the rosters will not be visible to anyone but myself until the first draw is done.
On the day Tourplay allows the coaches to record their own results. Please note ALL CASUALTIES COUNT! If it’s in the CAS box it counts, no matter how it got there.

2 minute turns.
Please bring a timer or download one to your phone.
I recommend this app, BB Coach Assistant, for Android users as it is very useful and happens to contain a chess clock style timer that can be set to 2 minute turns.
There is no iOS version of this app. You will have to find another chess clock app.

Strict 2 minute turns!

When you start your set up you start your clock. That’s right, you also only have 2 minutes to set up your offence or defence positions. If the clock hits zero and you haven’t got 11 players on the pitch it’s too late; the rest stay in the dugout. If you have an illegal set up when your clock hits zero your opponent moves one mini at a time until you have a legal set up – for example if you left 3 in the side zones your opponent moves one into the centre – there is no need to move any mini that is in a legal position.
When you start your turn you start your clock. If your clock hits zero your turn is over. Stop what you are doing. Do not move that one extra square to score the TD, you should have been quicker 
At the end of your turn you can roll over any stunned players and finish any ball movements; for example if you have just rolled a Pass but have yet to see where it is going to land please do finish that. If, in that example, you happen to catch the ball in the EZ you have NOT scored a TD (as your timer ran out) and your player drops the ball. Of course you may have placed a second player next to your catcher and it is possible the ball will bounce to them and they catch it… But your timer ran out so they drop it too.
If your timer runs out you cannot score; your turn is over.
If you interrupt your opponent’s turn, for example to Dump Off the ball, they get to pause their timer. Be quick! You are now giving your opponent more time 

In the unlikely event of a rules query that cannot be resolved immediately please do pause the timer and call over a referee to resolve the issue. Please do not interrupt a neighbouring match as they are also playing under the pressure of a clock.

Timetable
Arrive at 9 with dice rolling, hopefully, by 9:30
Given the nature of the Speed rule all matches will be over in about an hour and I will get subsequent draws up ASAP.
We will take a break after rounds 2 and 4.
I expect the last games to finish around 1730-1800.

Things to Bring.
Your team. Please bring a painted team as it is much more pleasing to play a painted team than a team of bare minis.
Your timer! You will only need one chess clock style timer per match but it’s a good idea for everyone to bring one.
A pitch, dice, templates, and any quick reference charts you feel you need. Remember this is all about Speed so you don’t really want to stop to look things up all the time!

There is no prize support at time of writing, but you are only paying a fiver 
Once the hall hire fee is covered I will assess how much is left over and get some doughnuts or something 
If you have any questions please feel free to contact me any way you want. My number is 07966333329 and my email is as above. I can be found on TFF, Discord and NAF site under the name Lunchmoney and on Twitter as @ExiledBloodBowl.

Code of Conduct
Cardinal Rules
· Always be polite and respectful to your opponent at all times
· Always tell the truth and never cheat
· Anyone exhibiting sexist, racist, or homophobic behaviours will be removed from the event and a refund will not be provided. For the avoidance of doubt this includes, but is not limited to:
o Making inappropriate comments about appearance, ability or experience
o Making jokes that sexualise or dehumanise people
o Not listening when someone asks you to stop your behaviour
o Putting your hands inappropriately on someone e.g. hips, waist, back etc.

Important Principles
· Make a respectful gesture to your opponent before the game begins, such as wishing them good luck, offering a handshake, etc.
· Avoid using language that your opponent or those around you may find offensive.
· Arrive on time for your game with all of the things you need to play.
· Offer your opponent the chance to examine your team roster before the game begins.
· If your opponent has any questions or queries about your roster, you should answer them truthfully and ensure that your opponent understands your answer.
· Ensure that your opponent is aware of any Inducements, or other special rules that your team has, and that they know what they do.
· When counting out the number of squares a player is moving, do so carefully and accurately. You should also allow your opponent the opportunity to check any moves before you move any models if they wish.
· When rolling dice, make sure that they are clearly visible to all players and allow your opponent to examine the rolls before picking up the dice.
· Always ask your opponent’s permission before touching their models.
· Remind your opponent about any rules that they may have forgotten to use, or that they have used incorrectly, especially when doing so is to your opponent’s benefit rather than your own.
· Try not to distract an opponent when they are trying to concentrate, and always ensure that you respect their personal space.
· Never complain about your own bad luck or your opponent’s good luck.
· Always be humble in victory and graceful in defeat.
· Never fix the outcome of a game for any reason.

Be Excellent to Each Other

Local eateries
Broadstone centre is a few minutes’ walk away and there are a choices of places to get food. A few options include:

Tesco Express and M&S Foodhall next door to each other.
You know what you are getting here.

Daniels Fish and Chips
https://danielsfishandchips.co.uk/ can order online for delivery. I’ve had some ok chish and fips from here, but I find it a little pricey.

Healthy Habits Cafe
No website. It is takeaway or eat in. Quite tasty food, but again a little pricey.

Café Gardenia
I’ve never been there, I’ve no idea what it’s like

Rameos Piri Piri
It’s good!

Costa Coffee.
You know what this is.
