Information
Treasure Valley Blood Bowl League (TVBBL) is sponsoring the TurkeyBowl to look for new talent from the minor league and to raise gold and food for those in need during this time of year. Sports fans from around the Empire gather for a day of rookie mayhem and generosity. The TurkeyBowl is a four game, resurrection, match tournament, using the Games Workshop Blood Bowl Sevens format.

● Date/Time: Saturday, November 18th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.
● Tournament Fee: $10.00 if a Naf member, $20 if not a member (Cash on the day of or checks made payable to the Idaho Foodbank)
● Bring with you: Everything you need to play (team, dice, pitch, templates, etc); contact TO treasurevalleybbl@gmail.com if you want to borrow a team
Preregister at treasurevalleybbl@gmail.com by turning in your roster before November 16th, 2023.

Itinerary
Times are approximate; each round is 75 minutes with a 5 minute pre-game setup time. If a tournament round/lunch finishes early, the TO may start the following round early.

Prize Support
● Trophies will be awarded for performance and generosity.
● Awards: (Biggest Cheater,1st place, Best Offense, Best Defense, Best Passing, Most Casualties Caused, Fan Favorite- trophies) Biggest Cheater is the coach that “bought” the most reroll tokens.
● Share the Wealth: A single coach may only win one of the above awards
● Additional awards may be added or removed by TO
● Must play in all four rounds to be eligible for an award (ringer may win an award if eligible)

Raffle Eligibility
● Raffle tickets for the prizes will be $5.00 each or 5 tickets for $20.00. All proceeds from the entry, rerolls, and raffle tickets will be donated to The Idaho Foodbank.
Team Roster
● Resurrection tournament format
● Swiss-pairings after first round
● Any of the 29 NAF approved teams
● 625,000 gp budget to purchase players, inducements, skills. All player improvements (skills and characteristic improvement) are permitted. (No skill or improvement may be bought more than once, and/or more than one skill or improvement may be bought for a single player.) Primary skills are 20K and Secondary skills are 40K. +1 AV is 10K, +1 MA/PA is 30K, +1 AG is 40K, and +1 ST is 80K.
● Team Rerolls cost twice the normal amount (i.e. Humans team reroll normally costs 50,000, in BB7s the team reroll costs 100,000)
● A minimum of 7 players must be purchased and a maximum of 11 players maybe on a team.
● No more than 4 “specialist” players (i.e. players with an availability less than 0-12)
● Permitted inducements: Bribes, Wandering Apothecary, Bloodweiser Kegs, Agency Cheerleaders, Part time coaches, Mortuary Assistant, Plague Doctor, Halfling Chef.
For every 5 cans of food or $5.00 donated after registration you will receive one (1) reroll token that can be used once during the tournament (not per game). The more tokens bought, the more you will have during the tournament.

TurkeyBowl 2023
Rules/Etiquette
● Prior to the game, coaches should agree what constitutes a cocked die and discuss any other issues related to dice rolling mechanisms, i.e. dice towers
● External coaching of players in-game is not permitted
● Should one coach request, a chess clock/timer must be used at 3 minute intervals
● Player positions should be clearly identifiable, and improvements should be obvious (such as with skill bands/rings)
● Passing range tables are to be used in preference to passing templates to avoid disputes
Blood Bowl 7’s rules from the Death Zone supplement pages 90-95 will be used with the following additions:
A Touchback only happens if the ball goes out of bounds or into the kicking teams ⅓ of the pitch.
Kickoffs are a D6 and a D8 like standard kickoffs

Tournament Report
This was a charity tournament that raised money for the Idaho Food Bank. All proceeds from entry fees, raffle tickets, and re-roll buy-ins were donated. We were able to raise $1,160.00 which equates to 4,640 meals for folks that are in need.

Congratulations to our winners but, also a huge thank you to all our players for helping our community.
