TMBBT FORMAT
This will be a Swiss-style, resurrection tournament.

Coaches will be paired randomly for the their first round match.

Rounds 2, 3, & 4 coaches will be paired in a swiss format style in which top teams will be paired against top teams and bottom teams will be paired against bottom teams. The tourney host will do what they can to avoid duplicate matches in rounds 2, 3, & 4.

This is an exhibition Blood Bowl tournament.

No SPPs or Casualties are applied between rounds.

All teams will start each round with their original same roster.

Illegal Procedures will not be called. Please bring the issue to your opponent’s attention and ask they move their turn marker.
The Kick-Off Event Table in the 2020 Blood Bowl Rule Book will be used. (page. 41)

Matches will be held to a 2 hour and 10 minute time limit.

Coaches will be reminded at the 1 hour remaining, 30 minute remaining, and 10 minutes remaining times. When the 2 hour and 10 minute time has been called, coaches will be given up to 5 minutes to finish the turn currently being played and then the game must end.

There will be no overtime period during the TMBBT.

TMBBT CUSTOM WEATHER TABLE
Kokopelli's custom weather table
will take the place of the standard 2020 weather table for the TMBBT.

At the beginning of the match,
and if "Changing Weather" is rolled on the Kick Off Table during the match,
the following custom TMBBT weather table will be used.

All rostered players will suffer the listed effects of the TMBBT Weather Table.

However, Kokopelli's TMBBT Star Player, The Jackalope, is immune to any of the effects
that occur as a result of the 2D6 roll on the TMBBT Weather Table.

2D6 RESULT:

2 IT’S SO HOT
The heat is too much for some players, so they refuse to play and they walk off the pitch to seek quality H20 on the bench.
The weather for this entire drive will be perfect.
However, at the start of the drive each coach randomly selects one player from their team who is on the pitch. That player is placed in the reserves box and will miss this drive as they rehydrate themselves.

3 TORENTIAL DOWNPOUR
Kokopelli has burst open the heavens and a torrential rains are soaking everything on the pitch.
For the entire drive both coaches apply a -1 modifier every time a player makes and agility test to pick-up, interfere, intercept, and catch.

4 SUPER SUNNY
Kokopelli has parted away the storm clouds and allowed the sun to shine through onto the pitch.
But the sun is shining so bright that it is hindering any passing attempts that are made.
For the entire drive both coaches apply a -1 modifier for every time a player uses their Passing Ability (PA).

5-10 PERFECT BLOOD BOWL WEATHER
Kokopelli was distracted by something else that was going on in the Sonoran Desert and he took his eyes off the Blood Bowl match that was being played.
The weather is perfect to play a Blood Bowl match.

11 FLASH FLOOD
A flash flood has engulfed the pitch making it hard for the players to move like they normally do.
The weather for this entire drive will be perfect.
However, all players movement are cut in half (rounding up) for each team’s first turn of the drive.
Players can still Rush as normal.

12 MUDDY MESS
The torrential rain and flash flooding has past, but the pitch is now a muddy mess.
For the entire drive any player that is pushed back as a result of a Blitz action, the coach rolls a D6.
On a roll of a 1, the player slips, falls over, and is placed prone on the pitch.
That player's next activation they can choose to stand up using the normal Standing Up rules.

Tournament Report
-Gary Haggart, arguably the most seasoned and winningest BB coach in southern Arizona, was the odds on favorite to win the TMBBT. It was only fitting that he ended up taking home the Kokopelli Trophy and the 2023 TMBBT Championship with his high scoring, HACKFLEM lead, Nurgle Team; The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Gary had 3 wins and 1 tie for the 2023 TMBBT. He scored the most TDs in the tourney with 6 and he only gave up 1 TD all tournament!

-Speaking of Nurgle, Tom Dorsey’s Nurgle Team, Toxic Energy, with Lord Borak at the helm, was on the top table/top pitch the entire tourney. His only loss was the 4th match against the other Nurgle Team, The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Tom ended the TMBBT with 1 win, 2 ties, and the one tough loss against the would-be TMBBT champion.

-Kelly Grover, a rookie coach in the Tucson BB League, surprised everyone and took 2nd place with her Norse Team, The Ragnarockers. Initially Kelly was very hesitant to register for the TMBBT, but the host and all of the fellow coaches were glad she eventually registered and her reward was having a great tourney with a 2 wins and 2 ties. She also took home the most TMBBT raffle prizes too!

-Every coach that registered for the 2023 TMBBT was able to walk away with a Trophy which is unheard of for a BB tournament.

-Every team had at least a tie and no team had four losses for the tourney.

-For the TMBBT host, the highlight was seeing the two youngest coaches (16 & 15 years old) play each other in the 2nd round and the smiles and the laughs generated from that match will last a lifetime.
