Doctor Foster Went For A Fumble In Gloucester
Buckle into your seats sports fans as here is the catchiest title for the first ever
tournament of the fastest growing Blood Bowl league in Gloucestershire! This is
a 1 day, 3 game tournament set in the tranquil environment of Gloucester
Quays.
There will be blood, there will be finesse and there will be Gloucester’s finest
medical team on-site to support you in achieving this (See “Tournament Special
Rules”).
Roster Creation
• Each team has a total of 1,150,000GPs to spend on roster creation and must
hire a minimum of 11 players. Any unspent cash at roster creation will be lost
and all teams will be considered having the same Current Team Value (CTV)
for the purpose of inducements and prayers to Nuffle.
• Gold pieces can be used to buy re-rolls and any inducements allowed from the
standard Blood Bowl rulebook. No inducements from any other sources are
allowed.
• This is a resurrection tournament and as such no Star Player Points (SPP) are
gained and injuries or deaths do not carry on from one game to other.
• Undead, Necromantic and Nurgle teams are allowed to apply the Masters of
Undeath and Plague Ridden special rules. Players added to a team roster
through a game as a result of those special rules are removed from the roster at
the end of that game.
• Teams will consist of a minimum of 11 players and a maximum of 16 players
including star players.
• Star players can only be induced after 11 regular players have already been
rostered.
• Star players can’t be given extra skills from the team’s skill budget.
• If both opposing teams are fielding the same star player in a game then both
star players are allowed to play.
Each race has been given a tier by Games Workshop and this will effect how many
skills and / or star players that you will be able to field. Please see below:
Tier 1
6 Primary Skills / 0 Secondary Skills / 0 Star Players
Amazons, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, High Elf, Lizardmen, Norse, Shambling
Undead, Skaven, Underworld Denizens & Wood Elf.
Tier 2
6 Primary Skills / 1 Secondary Skill / 1 Star Player*
Black Orc, Chaos Chosen, Chaos Renegade, Even Union, Human, Imperial Nobility,
Khorne, Necromantic, Nurgle, Old World Alliance, Orcs, Slann, Tomb Kings &
Vampire.
Tier 3
6 Primary Skills / 2 Secondary Skills / 2 Star Players*
Goblins, Halflings, Ogres & Snotlings.
Star Players
All star players from any official Games Workshop publication are allowed, however,
the following star players are classified as Mega Stars and will also cost 2 secondary
skills from your allowance (Limiting them to tier 3 teams) - Bomber Dribblesnot,
Deeproot Strongbranch, Griff Oberwald, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Krrek Rustgouger,
Mindy Piewhistle & Morg ’N Thorg,
Tournament Special Rule - Doctor Foster
Everybody knows that Gloucester has some of the finest medical care available and
that Doctor Foster is our most famous clinician. Every team will have a member of
Doctor Fosters available for free for each game. They work exactly as a standard
apothecary inducement apart from the following exception:
When you wish to use the member of Doctor Foster’s team please roll a D6. On a 2+
they function as usual, however, on a roll of 1 not only are they in effective and the
effect of the KO / injury remains, they have also treated the wrong player. Randomly
select a player from those currently on the field and remove them as a casualty too.
Schedule:
• 09:00 - 09:30 - Welcome and registration
• 09:30 - 11:45 - Game 1
• 11:45 - 12:30 - Lunch (Lunch is not provided though there are many fine and
