CHRISTMAS CARNAGE 2023
It’s that magical time of the year when all the good little blood bowlers' heads are filled with bruises and massive brain hemorrhages. Soon, good ol St Nurgolas will come, giving out gifts of pestilence and decay to all. In honor of this wondrous and magical holiday, Empire Games is hosting a blood bowl tournament!

To sign up email bloodbowljj@gmail.com
If you are a NAF member please include your NAF name and number.
Please submit rosters by 12/15 @5PM and please use www.bbroster.com to create your team's roster. Re team names, I'm all for funny team names but please refrain from offensive language.
What:
3 round blood bowl 11s tournament.
What to bring:
A blood bowl team! 3rd party teams are welcomed, we just ask the models be easily identified for their position, and that they can reasonably fit into a square on the pitch. For larger models, please consider having a stand in for when the player is downed. Teams do not have to painted but it’s certainly encouraged. Skills added to players need to be easily identifiable, either by skill bands or skill bases.
Dice - all dice normally used for blood bowl games will be needed. Block dice, 2D6, 1D8, 1D16.
Pitch - We should have enough pitches on hand for the event (most likely a combo of board and mat pitches) but if you have a custom themed pitch feel free to bring it.
Money for lunch - some refreshments will be provided but you’re on your own for lunch.
What you get:
3 games of blood blood!
A commemorative coffee mug and blood bowl sticker designed by a local artist!
Rules/Team Construction -
Blood Bowl 2020 rules. Resurrection rules will be used. 1.2 mil gold to purchase players and staff upgrades. You may purchase players, rerolls, fan factor, coaches, and cheerleaders as normal with this money. Wizards, Journeymen, Special Play cards of any kind, Mercenaries, and the Halfling Hot Pot are NOT ALLOWED. You may purchase any other inducements for your team, including Star Players.
Teams will be given spp based on their tier to upgrade players and/or hire star players for the event. If hiring a star player, teams must have 11 players on their roster before the star player. If two teams face off with the same star player on their roster, both teams have been swindled out of their gold and the star does not take the pitch for either team.

Special Rules -
‘Tis better to give than receive and St. Nurgolas is here to give out his gift to all. Before game 3, prior to the coin toss, each coach will nominate 3 non star players to receive a gift for the duration of the game. The opposing coach will roll a D3 to determine which player receives the gift and then a D6 to determine the gift received.
1-2 - Foul Appearance
3-5 - Dirty Player +1

If a nominated player already has the skill they would obtain as a result of the D6 roll, the opposing coach will reroll the die once. If the result is still a skill the player already has nothing happens and the player does not receive an additional skill.
