Information
Crimbowl I - Sunday 3rd December 2023

Crimbowl I is the inaugural winter tournament hosted by Acme Games in sunny Llandudno in North Wales. A 3 game, 16 player resurrection tournament using the Swiss system.

The entry fee is £10. You will need to be an NAF member to enter as this is an NAF sanctioned event, it’s only £5 to join the NAF and you get free dice…
Dinner is not provided, but we are in the centre of Llandudno with plenty of places to grab some food.

Entry and payment cut off for the tournament is midnight on Wednesday 29th November. Refunds for cancellations will be given up to 10 days before the tournament date.

Payments for entry should be sent by PayPal to mick@darkplace.co.uk and please make sure this is using the friends and family option. Add your name, coach name and NAF number in the additional comments section on the payment, as well as the best email address to contact you at.

All team sheets will be checked in advance to save time on the day. Sheets must be submitted to mick@darkplace.co.uk no later than midnight on Wednesday 29th November. See below for team requirements.

Schedule

This is a 3 game event with a tight, action-packed schedule (please arrive promptly, as lateness may mean missing the first round).

09.30 - 10.00 - Arrival
10.00 - 12.15 - Round 1
12.15 - 13.00 - Break (Lunch)

15.15 - 15.30 - Break
15.30 - 17.45 - Round 3
17.45 - 18.00 - Awards
We will hopefully have a full selection of players on the day, in the event of an uneven number though, our emergency player (TO) will step in to ensure everyone gets 3 games.

Win - 3 points
Draw - 1 points
Loss - 0 points

Team Building

All coaches have 1.15 Million to spend on their team. They must buy a minimum of 11 players for their team before they spend anything on inducements. They may also use this money for rerolls, coaches, cheerleaders and dedicated fans.

Inducements from the BB2020 rule book are allowed, apart from Wizards and special play cards. No mercenaries.
Skills
There are no team Tiers.
All teams may add 5 Primary skills and 1 Secondary skill to their team. No stacking or stat increases. You may take a Primary skill instead of a Secondary skill. Stunty teams may add an additional Secondary skill (so 5 Primary and 2 Secondary skills).

Star players
All teams may add 1 Star Player to their roster (once it has a full 11 players). Stunty teams may add 2 Star Players.
Mega Stars are not allowed in any team (Morg, Griff, Hakflem, Deeproot, Kreek, Bomber Dribblesnot).

If 2 coaches hire the same star player, both players can still use them.

Models
Teams are required to be clear representations of the races they purport to be (not necessarily GW) with clear differences between positionals. Skill rings or bands should be used to show additional skills and these can be quickly explained to your opponent during setup.
Painted teams are preferred, unpainted teams may be cursed by Nuffle and shame brought upon the owner of such disrespectful models.

Attire
Given the theme of the event, Christmas jumpers or hats are encouraged. Failure to be suitably attired will result in your free dedicated fan jumping ship to your more festive opponent.

Prizes

There will be awards for the following:
Winner
Runner Up
Most Casualties
Most Touchdowns
Stunty Cup (if 2+ competitors)
Wooden Spoon
Awards are likely to be festive/edible.
