One day, three round tournament with a cap of 24 coaches.

We will park in the rear of the building. Enter the parking lot off of Brick Road. Enter through the back doors.
Background:
Mr. Elbow is an infamous name in regional Blood Bowl. As a notorious Chaos Dwarf former player and now a respected coach (and semi-professional wrestler), his opinion is highly valued by sponsorship headhunters. Thus the Mr. Elbow Invitational Rumble Cup is thee place for up and coming star athletes to compete and maybe become a legend.
Theme:
Team Captains! One player on the team is the hero. A player with a cool name or nickname at least. That player is the Team Captain. The Team Captains and their teams compete to win their chance to "rub elbows" with Mr. Elbow.
Team Design:
Coaches draft teams utilizing the Exhibition Play Rules found on page 101 of the core rulebook.
1.25 million gold pieces for Team Value.
Must have 11 players on your roster. One player is the Team Captain. The Team Captain may take a statistic increase, one secondary skill, and up to two primary skills. The remains players may only take one primary skill. There is a limit of three of each chosen purchased skill (including the Team Captain). There can only be three Guard skill advancements for example.
Player advancement cost are per the core rulebook on page 72. Example: +1 Strength is 80,000 gold while +1 Armour Value is 10,000 gold.
Inducements are limited to any published inducement except: wizards, giants, infamous coaching staff, special play cards, and star players (who all dislike Mr. Elbow and he doesn't like them either).
Coaches may also purchase Re-Rolls and Sideline Staff from the 1,250,000 Gold allotted for drafting a Team.
Tiers:
Mr. Elbow does not recognize weakness. There are no tier effects in the Rumble Cup.
Rounds:
Three rounds. Two and a half hours per round.
Random first match followed by swiss pairings after that.
Resurrection rules. Team begins fresh for each match.
Weather:
Weather determined by top table. Results apply to the beginning of each round thereafter. Weather may change due to individual kick off results.

Scoring:
Win: 60 points
Draw: 30 points
Loss: 0 points
Finish game on time: 5 points
Tie-Breakers: Net Touchdowns plus Net Casualties. Opponent Strength schedule as additional tie-breaker.
Score sheet:
Each pair of coaches records game results on a provided score sheet and turn it in to the TO after each match. Both coaches sign each score sheet after both agreeing that the data is accurate.
The score sheet includes:
Win/draw/loss
Number of casualties from blocks
Number of touchdowns
Number of foul attempts

| The Mr. Elbow Invitational Rumble Cup was a hit. Twenty-two Team Captains competed for glory in the eyes of Mr. Elbow. Ultimately it was the Orc Blitzer, Captain Dufflugg, who won the praise of Mr. Elbow. We are sure to hear more about the exploits of the mighty Captain Dufflugg in the future. |
