Information
Welcome to the first of the (hopefully) annual Scottish League Tournament, an opportunity for us to settle our differences on the pitch, and battle for the title of the best league in the country*.

Itinerary
0930 – 1000 Team Captains to register
1000 – 1220 Round 1
1220 – 1300 Lunch and best painted judging
1300 – 1520 Round 2
1550 – 1810 Round 3
1830 Awards

As you can see, we have allocated 2 hours and 20 minutes for each round, which will be strictly enforced. Chess clocks or timers maybe requested by either coach, however these must be provided yourself. If at the end of the round games are not complete, the current score is the one that must be recorded and submitted to the TO.

Teams of four coaches compete against one another in three rounds of Blood Bowl. Each team member must use a different race from the available options, and Star Players cannot be duplicated within a team of four coaches.

In round 1, teams will be randomly paired against each other, with coaches within each team also randomly paired.

In Rounds 2 and 3, teams will be matched against opposing teams with a similar points score based on the overall ranking. This follows the familiar “Swiss” system used in many Blood Bowl tournaments. From here on, individual matches within the team tie will also be allocated using the Swiss system.

A team is classed as winning the round if they have more wins than their opposition. For example -
Team A has won 1 game, drawn 1 and lost 2, with Team B therefore winning 2 games, drawing 1 and losing 1. This would be a win for Team B. Scores in individual games only make a difference in the event of tie breakers (more below), the number of total wins decides the outcome of each round.

Teams earn points as follows each round:
Team Win: 3 Points
Team Tie: 1 Point
Team Loss: 0 Points

Tie Breakers - Teams on the same points during the tournament and for final standings will be ranked using a system of tiebreakers in the following order:
• Sum of individual points (3/1/0 for W/D/L)
• Opponents Score
• Net team TDs
• Net team CAS

This tournament will follow current NAF guidelines for all NAF tournaments. Any changes made to these guidelines between now and one month prior to the date of the tournament will be incorporated into the tournament rules and notifications will be added to the event Facebook Event page. Any changes made less than one month before the tournament date will not be in effect within this tournament.

Additionally, any teams and Star Players released more than one month before the date of the tournament will be eligible for inclusion, with Tiers and potential Mega Star status added to this rules pack and to the Facebook Event page.

This is a resurrection style tournament, and as such, all rosters will be reset after each round. Your players will not gain any SPP throughout the matches, no casualties will continue into the next match, you will earn no additional income after matches, and any players added to the roster through in game actions will be lost.

Roster Creation

All tiers will be given a gold value of 1,150,000 gold crowns with which to create an initial roster. Star players are permitted for Tier 7 teams, however they must first have a roster of 11 standard players (non stars).

You may also spend a portion of your roster gold on inducements. More information on which inducements are permitted can be found in the inducement section.

No gold crowns are awarded to either team during the pre-match sequence. No leftover gold crowns may be spent on Inducements (see below) during the pre-match sequence. No gold crowns left over from the roster allowance can be used for skills.
