Information
ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
This event will be trying out a trial set of rules for the next Eurobowl. Data and views will be taken from this event to make adjustments to the next Eurobowl. The real live event will be held in Greece. For this event the Euro time zone will be a squad vs squad event. Again, Christer is helping us out massively, so that we can have one squad paired with playing another squad. In the North America timezone, it will be an individuals event.

Both events will start on Monday the 18th of September and will feature a total of six matches over six weeks. There will be a slight change in that we will need games in the Euro time zone to be started by 22:00 on the Sunday evening at latest. This is so that the next rounds pairings can be organised in a timely manner.

Tournament admins: neilwat • Stimme

The deadline for submitting rosters is Midnight of the 15th September.

CREATING AND APPLYING A TEAM ROSTER
Before you create your team on Fumbbl, we highly suggest that you use an Excel sheet or one of the online helpers to create your team and make sure it adds up to the total amount. You can download a WC-specific Excel roster here. Find additional roster making tools on the NAF site.

Once you have decided on your setup, generate a new team following all of the subsequent steps (do not reuse an existing team!):

1. Create a new team using this link and choose your race and team name. Please add your time zone identifier in brackets at the start of your team's name. If in the North America timezone add [NA] or your squad name if in the EU timezone. Add this at the beginning of your team name, E.g. [HUBBA] Cherryville Croakers or [NA] Cherryville Croakers

2. On the team page, there is no need to change ‘Progression’ from ‘Standard’ to ‘None’.

3. Buy all of your players, re-rolls, etc. and click ‘submit for approval’.

4. On the following screen, select your skills.

5. When ‘Save’ is pressed to confirm your skill choices, there is no pop-up or conformation screen. You can check if your skills have saved correctly by navigating away from the screen and then checking ‘Team Options’ on your team page. You cannot save them until every slot is filled, even if you are just putting "no skill". You must select all skills before the start of the tournament and may not change them later.

6. NAF coaches must record their NAF nick and NAF number in the team bio section following team creation. This will help us in the future recording and ranking of online games.

7. Inducement(s) you wish to use should be left out of your team creation process and listed in the team bio. Inducements have to be announced before the start of the tournament and may not be changed in-between matches!

e.g.: at the beginning of a tournament match, select only your announced inducements, as you would normally by spending your remaining treasury as petty cash.

8. Navigate to the tournament team site and use the button at the bottom at the page to apply your team.

Please view Strider’s youtube video if you need more details how to create a team.

RULES SUMMARY
• BB2020 ruleset with Slann
• Resurrection-style
• Weekly rounds
• 6 rounds total

EurOpen Squad Creation
Each Squad is created by 4 coaches, each has to choose a different race to play.
Each Squad has 4 Squad Points to spend on Optional Packs, each optional pack can be used maximum 1
time in each Squad and the cost is as follows:
Optional Pack A: 1 Squad Point
Optional Pack B: 1 Squad Point
Optional Pack C: 2 Squad Point
Optional Pack D: 2 Squad Point

Coaches in the North America time zone can select any optional pack or stick with the vanilla roster.

Basic Pack: Vanilla Roster
The roster is created with all the basic rules set below for team building.

Optional Pack A: Extra Cash (Cannot benefit from any other Pack)
The roster is created as the Basic Pack PLUS the below benefit.
One or more Skill Points can be exchanged for gold at a ratio of 30k per 1SP that will not be used.

Optional Pack B: Skill Stacking (Cannot benefit from any other Pack)
The roster is created as the Basic Pack PLUS the below benefit.
By losing a total of one Skill Point, you are able to stack skills to players in your roster, limiting the use according to the
tier.
1 Skill Stack for Tier 1-2, 2 Skill Stacks for Tier 3-4, 3 Skill Stacks for Tier 5-6.
2nd Primary Skill = 1 SP (Skill Stacking)
2nd Secondary Skill = 2 SP (Skill Stacking)

Optional Pack C: Star Player (Cannot benefit from any other Pack)
The roster is created as the Basic Pack PLUS the below benefit.
One (1) Star Player can be rostered for Tier 1-4 teams, up to two (2) Star Players can be rostered for Tier
5-6 teams .
Star Players in couples count as two Star Players for the roster.
For every Star Player acquired additional Skill Points cost as follows:
000-099k then 1 Skill Point
100-199k then 2 Skill Points
200-299k then 3 Skill Points
Banned Star Players: Griff Oberwald, Hakflem Skuttlespike, Morg 'n' Thorg, Bomber Dribblesnot, Cindy
Piewhistle, Deeproot Strongbranch, Kreek Rustgouger, Estelle La Veneaux.
The same Star Player cannot play in a game where both coaches have rostered him/her.

Optional Pack D: Extra Skill Point (Cannot benefit from any other Pack)
The roster is created as the Basic Pack PLUS the below benefit.
One extra Skill Point is gained, as long as the usage of the Skill Points from the coach do not exceed in
total 3 times that skill in the roster. This extra skill should not exceed in total 3 times that skill in the roster
too.
Example: A dark elf team with 4 blitzers, 2 witches and 5 LineElves can have this extra skill as long as the
Skill Points from the tier and the extra Skill Point from the blessing do not add the Block skill because there
are already more than 3 but not from the skill point usage, and can add maximum 1 more Dodge skill
because there are already 2 in the roster and by spending 1 Skill Point the total number reaches 3.

In the EU timezone, can you all do the following.

1. Check with your team who has spent which squad points.
2. Make sure you have not spent too may
3. Everyone to put their squad points in their squad bio, for their whole squad.

For example...

Dave, Skill pack D, 2 squad points
John, SKill pack A, 1 squad points
Stimme, Skill pack B, 1 squad points
neilwat, Basic skill pack, 0 squad points

TEAM BUILDING
Starting Gold and Skill Points (SP)
Tier 1: 1150k & 06 SP
Tier 2: 1160k & 07 SP
Tier 3: 1170k & 08 SP
Tier 4: 1180k & 09 SP
Tier 5: 1190k & 10 SP
Tier 6: 1200k & 11 SP

Primary Skill = 1 SP
Secondary Skill = 2 SP
No skill stacking.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS
Tier1: Chaos Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Shambling Undead.
Tier2: Amazons, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Wood Elves.
Tier3: High Elves, Humans, Necromantic Horror, Tomb Kings, Underworld Denizens.
Tier4: Chaos Renegades, Elven Union, Khorne, Old World Alliance, Slann.
Tier5: Black Orcs, Chaos Chosen, Halflings, Imperial Nobility, Snotlings.
Tier6: Goblins, Nurgle, Ogres, Vampires.

A minimum of 11 players and a maximum of 16 are to be rostered.
• 0-8 Re-Rolls
• 0-6 Assistant coaches
• 0-12 Cheerleaders
• 0-1 Apothecary, if allowed on the team
• 0-6 Dedicated Fans

0-1 Team Mascot for 30k available to all teams - will be available in the tabletop event but not for this event

The following inducements are available:
• 0-1 Weather Mage for 30k available to all teams
• 1 Master Chef for 300k, for 100k available to teams with the "Halfling Thimble Cup" special rule
• 0-6 Assistant coaches (10k)
• 0-12 Cheerleaders (10k)
• 0-2 Bloodweiser Kegs (50k)
• 0-1 Josef Bugman for 100k available to all teams
• 0-1 Plague Doctor for 100k available to teams with the "Favored of Nurgle" special rule
• 0-1 Riotous Rookies for 100k available to teams with the "Low Cost Linemen" special rule
• 0-2 Wandering Apothecaries for 100k available to teams that can include an apothecary
• 0-3 Bribes for 100k each, for "Bribery and Corruption" teams 50k each
• No Biased ref may be taken

A roster cannot induce bribes as long as there is a player with the Sneaky Git skill AND/OR the Secret
Weapon skill. Goblin and Snotling teams have managed to find a "legal" way to avoid this rule, so they can
induce bribes while their roster contains players with the Secret Weapon skill BUT NOT the Sneaky Git
skill.
No roster may have the sneaky git and dirty player skill on the same player, they can be on different players. There is one exception that if a star player has both of these skills, they can still be taken.

Star Player notes: See notes on using Squad Points

All inducements must be announced in the “team bio” at the team’s creation and may not change between rounds. State which roster pack you are using in your team bio.

SCORING
• 2 points per coach win
• 1 point per coach draw
• 0 points per loss or concession
• 0 points for both coaches if there is no evidence of communication and the game is not completed by the deadline

In the EU timezone, squad points are the sum of the individual coach points, plus bonus points: 1000 points per win and 500 points per draw. Making the sum of individual coach points effectively the first tiebreaker.

In the NA timezone, the tiebreakers are as follows:
1) NET TDs + NET CAS
2) Most touchdowns

CONCESSIONS
• No concessions are allowed during a match. Penalty may be exclusion from the tournament and no registration accepted for the next NAF event. The reasoning here is that touchdowns and casulties can be important tiebreakers, so play on to the best of your ability, whatever in game things happen.

• If a coach misses their match on an agreeded time without warning, a concession will likely be applied if another appropriate time to play can’t be found.

• If the opponents are unable to schedule a match, the organizers will make a judgement call and decide the winner of the match,a draw might be given or both coaches might be given zero points.

• Everyone is counting on you to play the 6 rounds regardless of your performance. Dropping without a proper cause will result in denying your registration for the next NAF Online event. Real life does happen but please communicate issues as quickly as possible with your squad members and Stimme and myself. We can look into swapping coaches out of a tournament or can consider issues that you might be having when we make decisions.

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE
In the NA time zone, each round will start at 0:01 Monday morning server time and end at 23:59 Sunday night server time.
In the EU timezone the rounds will start at 0:01 Monday morning and the last games must be started by 22:00.

If you games are scheduled for later in the day, on a Sunday, then please invite Stimme and neilwat to the messages.

Team registration: by end of Friday 15th September

1st Round: 18th Sept - 24th Sept
2nd Round: 25th Sept - 1st Oct
3rd Round: 2nd Oct - 8th Oct
4th Round: 9th Oct - 15th Oct
5th Round: 16th Oct - 22nd Oct
6th Round: 23rd Oct - 29th Oct

OTHER RULES
• Please endeavour to complete your games. PM your opponent as soon as you can and organise a time to play.

• If agreeing a time is proving difficult, PM the tournament admins - include both Neilwat and Stimme - and your opponent.

• Games will be forfeited promptly to begin new rounds.

• If one player benefits from inducements not listed on the team’s “bio” or irregular use of Timeout with direct influence on the score, a concession might be applied.

• Games will count towards NAF ranking as Online NAF games on thenaf.net. Forfeits and games against non NAF members are not recorded.

FAIRPLAY
• Be cordial on the chat and pm towards your opponent and audience. Any use of offensive laguage towards your opponent regarding racial, political or religious content might result in exclusion from the tournament and 1 year ban from NAF events.

• Use wisdom and good faith when agreeing a match with your opponent.

• We recommend avoiding Timeouts. However, if you use it, you are not allowed to do it without a first “transgression” and consequent first warning on the chat.
Ex: my opponent exceeds the time one turn, I warn him I’ll timeout next time.
You can only use a timeout if the other opponent is playing their turn, if they give an indication that they need 5 minutes or similar to deal with a real life event then they can’t be timed out for this.

NAF RANKING AND NAF MEMBERSHIP
