The great festival town of Crowborough in the Ashdown region has long been known for drawing many visitors from the Colleges of magic during freshers week. Coincidentally know for some of the most bizarre recorded weather conditions in the Old World, like the squirrel downpour of 2424 and the jelly flood of 2480. Though speculation of magical involvement of students was cited, no proof was ever found & assurances from the faculty of the Colleges has ensured the students are still welcome visitors each year. Though minor magical incidents have been on the rise as the fraternity initiations look to push new bounds each year. In an effort to channel these exuberant spell casters desire to show off their talents the local mayor and blood bowl commissioner have organised a tournament that week to both entertain and occupy the tourists.
