Ruleset Document

Information
The Canadian Open will be a one day, four game tournament.

Team Building:
All Coaches are required to draft teams including Inducements utilizing the Amorical Cup Ottawa rules pack. See here: https://amoricalcup.com/ruleset/

Special Rules:
-We will use the GW winter pitch rules. They will be available on each table for reference.
* Norse teams get +1 dedicated fans at no cost as this is their turf.
* Teams MUST be painted to 3 colour minimum. There will be penalties for unpainted figures or teams at TO discretion.

HOBBY BONUSES
READ CAREFULLY: You may NOT purchase assistant coaches or cheerleaders.
If you have a coach model painted +1 assistant coach
You MUST have a coach model to argue the call!!!
If you have a cheerleader model painted +1 cheerleader (doesnt need to be female/pom poms)
A mascot can replace one or other @ TO discretion
Max of 1 each, except stunties can have 2 each
READ AGAIN: The ONLY way to get an assistant coach or cheerleader is to have a PAINTED model to represent it and it does not cost any gold.

Waterloo Royal Canadian Legion 316 Marsland Drive, Waterloo ON N2J 3Z1

We have booked the lower hall for this year's event. Enter the back of the building from the rear parking lot. We will have a bartender in our space, dedicated to our group. If you need to go into the members club room area upstairs for any reason please be sure to remove your hat in respect of their etiquette rules.

“The Legion is a non-profit, dues-supported, organization with approximately 1,400 branches in Canada, the United States, Germany and The Netherlands. The Legion receives no financial assistance from any outside agency and membership is open to all Canadian citizens and Commonwealth subjects who subscribe to the purposes and objects of the organization.

The Legion also supports programs for seniors, particularly through direct community-level activities, the Legion Long term care Surveyor Program and a housing program. The Legion's Youth program provides bursaries, Remembrance contests, and support to activities such as cadets, scouts and guides.”

There are many hotel and airbnb options in the area, as well as food options for lunch and dinner.

Prizes & Awards

Performance Awards
1st Place: Awarded to the coach with the most tournament points.
2nd Place: Awarded to the coach with the second most tournament points.
3rd Place: Awarded to the coach with the third most tournament points.
Stunty Champion: Awarded to the coach with the most tournament points playing a stunty team.
Most Touchdowns: Awarded to the coach who scored the most touchdowns.
Most Casualties: Awarded to the coach who accumulated the most casualties from blocking.
Wooden Spoon: Awarded to the coach with the lowest number of tournament points.

Hobby Awards
Best Team: Awarded to the coach whose team earned the most votes (T.O. will be tie breaking vote if required)
Canuck Attitude: Awarded to the coach with the highest amount of sportsmanship points. (T.O. will be tie breaking vote if required)

Prizes
-Only new coaches to the Canadian Open will receive 2 custom D6. Returning coaches should bring their dice from past years.
-A free raffle ticket for attending.
-Award winners will receive additional raffle tickets with their trophy.
-Two painted teams, star player minis, and other bb accessories/collectibles.
-Coaches are welcome to buy additional raffle tickets at the event.
$5 for 2 tickets. $10 for 5 tickets.
